  1. For 1981, any advances on Britney Spears ("Baby One More Time" 1999)?
  2. Sally Lindsay was one of the choir, and we can definitely nail a DOB for her (July 8, 1973). So at least we have a name for 1973 rather than "a bunch of kids from Stockport". Similarly, the character actress Jennifer Hennessy (you'd recognise the face, never off British TV) was one of the kids as well. She was born 1970.
  3. Possibilities from ""Bridge over Troubled Water" (2017): 1995: Kieran Alleyne/Jordan Lee (both members of 5 After Midnight) 1997: Jorja Smith/Raye 1998: Louisa Johnson No idea on the ages of one-and-done afroswing crossover act WSTRN. Featuring the son of Paul Trueman from Eastenders!
  4. Is 1989 Lauren Bennett ("Party Rock Anthem", 2011)?
  5. Going to start naming ones I'm not 100% on but want to see some advances on: 1991: Joe McElderry ("The Climb" 2009) 1993: Niall Horan/Liam Payne/Cher Llloyd ("Heroes" 2010) 1994: Harry Styles ("Heroes" 2010) Does anyone have dates of birth for the members of completely forgotten girl group Belle Amie, who also featured on that "Heroes" cover?
  6. Danny Jones from McFly was also born in 1986 and had two #1s the previous year ("5 Colours In Her Hair" being the first). 1/2 of McFly were born in 1985 so we can write them off, but Dougie Poynter was born 1987 so he should also get a place on the list I think?
  7. Yeah, this is a difficult one. She's obviously not listed on the artwork or anything, and going by Discogs none of the actual four Teletubbies themselves are either (although, vaguely interesting trivia, the song was produced by Sid James' son). I suppose the real barometer is whether it was a freshly recorded giggle or they just sampled the giggle previously taped for the show. Anyone got a PRS membership to check?

    The Dead of 2022

Hancock's Half Hour preceded it by a year, but it was definitely one of the first, yeah.
  9. I think these are all correct... 1946 Helen Shapiro (1961 "You Don't Know") 1947 Sandie Shaw (1964 ""(There's) Always Something There to Remind Me") 1963 Little Jimmy Osmond (1972 "Long Haired Lover from Liverpool") 1964 Nicole (1982 "A Little Peace") 1971 Tiffany (1987 "I Think We're Alone Now) 1980 Isaac Hanson (1997 "Mmmbop") 1982 Billie (1998 "Because We Want To") 1983 Taylor Hanson (1997 "Mmmbop") 1984 Gareth Gates (2002 "Unchained Melody") 1985 Zac Hanson (1997 "Mmmbop") 1995 Jessica Smith (1997 "Teletubbies Say Eh-Oh") 1996 Lorde (2013 "Royals") got to #1 a month before Martin Garrix ("Animals") 1998 Shawn Mendes (2015 "Stitches") 2002: Jawsh 685 (2020 "Savage Love") 2003: Olivia Rodrigo (2021 "Drivers Licence") 2004: Gayle (2021 "abcefu")

    Deadpool Detective Work

Munn (both the actor and writer) died "at the end of July" from a heart attack according to this. Odd that he died completely off-the-radar.

    Deadpool Detective Work

Wikipedia and IMDB seem to think that the actor Michael Munn is the author Michael Munn? The guy was at the centre of a moderate scandal about clearly making up stories about his friendships with various Hollywood luminaries around a decade ago.

    Deathrace 2023

Deathrace Form Guide #15 Billy Two Rivers An 87-year-old professional wrestler, which in normal people terms is the equivalent of being roughly 150. A major draw in both Canada and the UK during the 60s and 70s, never forget he is - and this isn't Wikipedia vandalism no matter how much it looks like it - the father of 1990s British fashion designer and TV talking head show regular Wayne Hemmingway.

Well, there was that one boy band member that got capped back leaving the Dakota Apartments in December 1980.

    The 2023 Crowdsourced Deathlist

Crowdsource Form Guide 5: MC Ren In the great tradition of "The Wind" and "Black Star", MC Ren released "Osiris", his first new music since 2009, earlier this year. As with all the best albums, it was released solely on 256 kbps MP3s.

Authors Last A Long Time, But....

A truly odd person, hoping for some good obituaries. Julia Child (correctly) thought she was a hack, then she wrote a book about how hard it was cheating on her husband.

    Ideas and possibilities for 2023

Apropos of the mighty Stakka Bo appearing on the recent Top of the Pops repeats with their seminal 1993 anthem "Here We Go", I did some googling and found the female vocalist on the track, Nana Hedin, has been suffering from stage 4 tongue cancer for a decade and launched a GoFundMe earlier this year in an attempt to "save her voice".

Magic Johnson, And Other Basketball Players

Had a strong feeling Brown would QO: he wasn't just a run-of-the-mill basketball ref, he was in the stripes for the 2020 NBA Finals. Reason I didn't pick him was I thought he'd hold on for 2023 and I could play him then. Ah well, we move.
  24. "Band of Gold" is the best song on there, but I feel like the Generation Z's rediscovery of "Love Grows" could see it over the finish line.
