This might be the dullest week for celebrity deaths in history.

Country For Old Men (And Women)
Spade_Cooley replied to Anubis the Jackal's topic in DeathList Forum
Somewhat ironic that the man who had the last cover version of "Smoke Smoke Smoke That Cigarette" to reach the country charts dies of oesophageal cancer. -
His only worries were sickness and an occasional harassment by the police and their chase.

Will perfidious Albion banding together to sing "Sweet Caroline" to the Queen help heal this fractured nation? The BBC thinks so. No comment from Neil yet though.
-
David Datuna, one of the world's most-expensive living artists but best known among us plebs for being the guy who ate a $120,000 banana a few years back, dead at 48. He'd previously battled cancer openly but surprisingly never mentioned on here or picked in the DDP.

People I Was Surprised To Find Are Still Alive
Spade_Cooley replied to Catherine's topic in DeathList Forum
This could very feasibly be her son on Facebook: a Mackay, mother called Margery, grew up in Hollywood, worked in the music industry, Margery would have been 30 when that photo was taken which looks about right.... EDIT: I'm pretty certain it is her, this is a press photo of MacKay. Looks very similar to the woman in the FB pic: -

Fantastically confused tweet about Margery MacKay here, where not only does the person in question seem to think that "Climb Ev'ry Mountain" was in Gone with the Wind, but she's also attached a picture of not Margery MacKay, but Margery McNight Carr, the first woman to graduate from the MacKay Mining School. So in summary, absolutely no fucking use. -
Yeah, I've very much filed Godley alongside Joe Exotic in terms of people who I'm not bothering to keep tabs on.

Antonio Inoki has been on a trip to some restaurants that hold nostalgic value for him, before a stop off at a graveyard. From that thumbnail, I assume he was looking to buy not rent.
-
Watching a YouTube video essay on the topic, I was reminded how I don't think I've ever hated a TV show more than That's Life. Willing to bet the rent that when you finally get to hell, Cyril Fletcher is the first person to greet you.

"I think it's B), I'm going to live until 2023 Bradley." "Yeah, gotta be, gotta be."

Big cult heroes on the Birmingham indie scene, saw them a few times in concert when friends were supporting MBA. Always remember their anti-NME banger "Fashion Parade":
-
For anyone buying into the ""Triple H is sicker than he lets on" conspiracy, Stephanie McMahon has just announced she's stepping down from all her WWE responsibilities immediately to "focus on her family".

Here's an eight-hour unreleased-to-the-public soundtrack Vangelis made for microneurosurgery videos in the late 90s.
-
Vangelis dead according to the Greek-language press, who you'd assume would probably know.

I'm just glad none of my rivals have picked Jorg Albertz.

Didn't realise that the winning hit in the last three years have all been footballers: two Germans, two who were most famous for their careers in Scotland.

Apropos of someone going "I bet Reg Hollis and Tosh Lines would have had this shit sorted out by Saturday night" during the riots, I was like "Man, I wonder what Kevin Lloyd is up to these days." A brief Google reminded me that he's actually been dead for over a decade and died a week after being fired from The Bill. Similarly, my brain is never able to process the fact that Les Sealey is dead and about twice a season I ask someone "Where's Les Sealey these days, goalkeeper coach somewhere yeah?"

Marnie Schulenburg, the final of the five actresses to play Alison Stewart in daytime US soap schlock As The World Turns, dead at 39. DDP pick last year but not this time out.

Theme team possibilities for 2023: Gris Gris call-up for Alexandra Hall Hall?
-
Gotta feel sorry for her, she was basically behind every hit drama ITV had for a decade and yet she's reduced to "person who launched James Corden's career" in the obits.

MMMDP Form Guide #7 Sister Jean Not actually a nun as she doesn't live a cloistered existence. Still, everyone's favourite centenarian basketball scout is still with us aged 102, and attended her beloved Loyola Ramblers' NCAA Division I game in person again this year, where they were dumped out 54-41 by Ohio State. Is she a 4.5/5 pick for your MMMDP draft?
