  1. Darren.

I’m haunted by that name. Ex husband was a Darren, my best mate is a Darren and my boss is a Darren.

Best mate I just call Sis, Boss is called boss and when I see ex husband (one in a blue moon) he gets called every swear word known to the human race to his face.  To be fair he probably hates the name Phil ;):D

  2. Banks. Nat West in particular.

I spent a fruitless 20 mins on the phone trying to amend a standing order only to be told- you need your Nat West mini device to allow me to do that over the phone. So instead I then had to drive 15 mins across the City to a branch - the last branch not in the City Centre.

Got to the branch signs up saying it’s closing next month. Woman on the counter was rude no name badge , wouldn’t order me a mini device. I was so fed up I walked out the branch into TSB next door who confirmed with some pride that this branch wouldn’t be closing, yes you can amend standing orders over the phone and I can switch my accounts in 7 days with no loss of service to myself nor my SOs and DDs.

Well done Nat West. 17 years of loyalty down the drain. And more importantly well done TSB for making banking suddenly seem much easier again

  3. I live in Plymouth which used to be one of the more quieter Cities in the UK but the amount violent crime even here is growing. Increasingly there’s a generation which has been brought up to suffer little or no consequences to anything be it Work or school or life in general. The tide turned imho when schools went liberal about 15 years ago and there’s a generation under the age of 30 who think even if they do badly they’ll be rewarded and if they do something bad in any aspect then it’s ok as they’re entitled to do so.

The police  are powerless, understaffed and have had more cuts than could be believed. That doesn’t assist matters at all.

    Ah shit

I'll have to find something else to be remembered for. I mean, it'd be awful if the topline of the obit discussed Deathlist's greatest post whore!

In Peter Falks mind Carlisle United won the  Champions League the last 3 years running..... :D

Vannilla coke is being discontinued because of the sugar tax. Ffs just charge me more, I'll pay it.

However my local Sainsbury is selling Diet Coke Mango....

    Sounds vile I must confess.

  6. I have a lovely chemist shop near me , but when the old stomach is a bit dodgy ( lamb which I should have chucked out rather than eat it cold) the look I got when I asked for Kaolin and Morphine you’d think I was a drug addict.

Instead I get some pink rubbish called Pepto Bismol. It’s not working. I want hard drugs ;)

  7. With all respect to our number 2- Leah has gone very quiet in the last month. No blogs, no media , just silence.

I have a feeling we’re into the final end game here, and the next thing we’ll get will be her death announcement.

Might be summat/might be nowt but...

A work colleague who spent years in showbiz has a totally different theory on this (but no hard evidence); basically clocking loads of stuff in Kay's performances and ideas of what's funny to believe the man to be gay. His theory being Kay's marriage and family life might be in meltdown - hence the super-injunction.

There’s plenty of of fat old queens in the UK without another one joining the ranks. ;):D

As a paid up member of this club (as well as the Tuffty club) I don’t believe it.

Thought HMV had shut already.  One in Glasgow I frequented was an empty shop last I passed by.

Of course, FOPP get rid of the independents like Lost in Music, HMV gets rid of FOPP, online sales get rid of HMV. YWillz can add Tower Records somewhere into this mix. I know FOPP rose from the dead...

Reminds me of What Everyone Wants (notes for Toast - What Every Woman Wants superstores, though they did change their name before I were born!) , which got sold to Philip Green and then shut. Now the old What Everyone Wants store on Argyle St is listed for demolition. Way of the world. Owners of the site "accidentally" let the building deteriorate.

Anyhow, the biggest loss (bar the local small cinemas) was Woolworths. It's surprisingly difficult to get stamps, writing equipment, a few assorted bits and bobs and a low quality Pick n Mix all from the same store these days. Always something missing.

    Anyhow, I digress.

    Move down here.

We have the glorious Trago Mills. Where you can buy a lawnmower, Russian wellies, carpet and industrial size packs of spices for next to nothing

  10. Now real fears House of Fraser will go- trying to borrow an emergency £40 million.

If they so that’ll be the end of Dingles in Plymouth part of the City for 169 years. Biggest department store here- but just full of consessions.

    Debenhams next????

    Ooo Daddy!

At what point does 'slightly overweight' translate into 'Bear'  - or do you have to be hairy too?

Well I have been called a bear in my time as I have a hairy chest, but meh. Personally I think there’s nothing more odd looking than a youngster (18 to 24) with 40+  But each to their own. All my partners have been around my age - could be where I’ve gone wrong I guess :)

When my ex got with his affair partner permanently  I did get great delight in pointing out the day he was born was the day after I got my GCSE results aged 16 to my XH. :P

I’m forcing myself to stay in bed because I know as soon as I get up the bottle’s opening and I only have one so don’t want to peak too early :D

I think if you look at Smirnoff profits for March 2013 I contributed about a third of that. However by 1st week of April I decided he wasn’t work it, hit the gym and discovered Grindr. ;)

  13. Sorry lardy it’s a tough time.

Just reek the revenge I did. My ex wanted his stuff so he got it in spades. You want the computer- fine but the keyboard didn’t have half the keys. Anything electrical? Spent half an hour in the bath first. Clothes? All packed in suitcases with rotten meat and dog shit.

As as I had to downsize the sight of his Fiat 500 driving off with a full set of Christmas decs in March was a scene which still makes me chuckle.

  14. As my companies ‘realinement’ gathers pace and all overtime is cut from April , do any of you other deathlisters have ways of saving money on everyday items from supermarkets And what wouldn’t you change at all or avoid like the plague?

For example- I’ve stopped using Ariel £5 for 24 washes and gone onto Lidl washing powder. 100 washes for £7. It’s good stuff even got a curry stain out of a white shirt. Impressed by Wilko washing up liquid as well- half the price of Fairy.

Personally coffee is totally not going to be cut to a value brand. Someone bought me one from the pound shop- tasted like burnt sausages. Vile.

    Any more tips?
