    The Chequered Flag

Yeah, uh, the LOTL needs updated in January. Years and years ago, TMIB and OoO agreed that only a fool would take on the DDP with a child as well. Hi, I am that frazzled fool! (Thank feck for Reptile and Grim doing the programming bit!)
  2. Hah, yeah, I'm quite fond of the living big 5 of British actresses (ie - Dames Dench, Smith, Philips, Atkins and Marsh alll born in the same 18 months). Stephanie Cole another who is always good value. Ally Hannigan too but for, err, other reasons. As a fan of older British dramas I am quite fond of a vast number of character actresses and actors who show up all over the place!
  3. Dagger in the heart, it was! (Dagger of the Mind was the Columbo with Honor Blackman in it instead) Now I think my favourite living actress is Jean Marsh, and I'm steadying myself for bad news there at some point soon and all...

    The Deathlist Poker Tournament 2020

Aww Sean's been well and truly Don Lusk'd!

    FIFA World Cup Players

I've skipped so many open goals in recent months I couldn't resist that one.

    FIFA World Cup Players

Yeah, he was the exception that proves the rule... (Wait a minute. You, a kid, in the 1970s...)

    Ideas and Possibilities for 2021

    DDP record equalled.

    The 100 Club

RIP to him (iirc he had "very frail now" news back in 2014 so he did quite well to live so long). The new Father of the Hearse for British MPs is... SIr Patrick Duffy (b. 1920), Labour, Colne Valley 1963-6, Sheffield Attercliffe 1970-92, former Navy minister and one of the outspoken smaller job Shadow Cabinet members of the 80s.
  11. I think it'll be like 2017. 2016 was blockbuster A listers. 2017 tended to go for "musicians you liked in your teens", character actors and authors. But as Willz put it at the time (I paraphrase): that's equally as shit if you like all those things!

    Your Personal Survivors

Worth an update imo, with the news that my 2016 DDP team are the first ones to complete an entire cleansheet.

    Derby Dead Pool 2021

A few but I'll know better the other side of Hogmanay. So far its been more the difficult right on the line cases that have come up, like one of those sent in by that nefarious Gooseberry Crumble! (That pick was allowed under the famous unwritten rule "if the person is getting a Netflix documentary made about them they are probably notable" for the record. ) Time will tell if the scaret letter is needed...

    British Character Actors

Gudrun Ure is her birth name too, so easier to track down in the online records!

    British Character Actors

It's your 1922-23 names I'm struggling with. All the ones I can think of are dead - some within the last year - but like the footballers, they must be out there somewhere... (I do sometimes wonder if Super Gran died off radar but pretty sure she'd show up in the death records.)

    British Character Actors

I wasn't sure if he really qualifies, but Hancock's Half Hour bit part actor Laurie Webb, who also played the poacher Ollis in The Three Doctors (Doctor Who) is still alive, born 1924.
  17. tbh I was thinking how odd it was that Gooseberry had named 2 people in a row I'd actually heard of!

    Time Added

https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/entertainment-arts-50970573 Focuses pretty much solely on TV/film so no LOTL saves...

    The 21st Death of 2020?

Its the annual tradition. Midnight NYE, everyone: Hooray! The new Deathlist is up! 3 seconds later: The first "Where's my DDP joker? Why have you picked Valdas Adamkus and Yoko Ono's brother?" complaints.

    The 100 Club

Author Anne Baker, a cult favourite on here, has become the oldest person to ever get a Honour, aged 106. Services to charity.

    Tennis players

I had the mens Wimbledon winner for 1953 on my team this year (Vic Seixas) and the Wimbledon mens winner for 1950 (!), Budge Patty, is still with us.

    Hares Death Pool 2021

I think I had a dubious forum record in the Hares Pool? Latest in the year to take the lead in a deadpool and still not win it. Bloody Don Lusk!

    Derby Dead Pool 2021

Sadly yes and sadly yes, although I wouldn't blame the Cmme for 2022 if they tighten the rules once they see it in action.

    Derby Dead Pool 2020

List of the Lost and Missed will be tidied up in New Year when the front page can't be for a week or two.
