Nice gamble success for the Wormfarmer.

That's where they went wrong, of course. The female ghostly chorus adds considerably to Johnny Remember Me's memorability.

Mikis Theodorakis is still able to give public speeches, so is practically Betty White next to some of those zombies...

Was considered by me for my "get em on the DDP" theme team (when that existed) but just felt younger than other contenders. The song was banned by the BBC back in the 60s for being too occult-ish or something like that.

One for Maryport. Mind a few years back you were interested in Holocaust survivor and writer Lily Ebert, who had done some stuff about being ill about 6 years ago? Well, she's 90, alive and recently interviewed by The Telegraph, so still above ground, as it were.

Someone I thought was long dead, but apparently not. Felicity Green, fashion journalist who became the first Fleet Street female newspaper editor in the 50s, is still alive and aged 94. Just seen her as an interviewee in a very old documentary and went to check when she snuffed it only to find she apparently hasn't.

Oh I was just making a crap pun about the constant rumours about the guys health. Whereas Joey was making a far better pun.

Yes. I think you'll find they are all Little Lies.

David Wilson, one of the top criminologist chaps in the UK, is convinced of it and that's good enough for me. Turns out Tobin was next door neighbour to one of Bible Johns victims. So either she was unlucky to have met two notorious serial killers or....

Yeah, sorry, back onto Kim Jong-un. After all, he's a Man of the World.
-
Sorry, boss, these puns are an Albatross round the neck. I'll go my own way...
-
Oh dear! If he goes it'll really change The Chain of command in Korea, of course...
-
More Kim Jong-umours I see.

Well I *did* search, you know. Although there was also another teacher at Aberfan called Hettie Williams who also died recently?

Few weeks ago on the Don Shula obit I made a reference to the other Larry Csonka, ie the owner of 411mania, whose straight reviews of every wrestling show ever were a bonus for those of us who don't have the time to watch every wrestling show in the world. Alas the wrestling writer Larry Csonka has now died after being in poor health the last few years. https://411mania.com/wrestling/larry-csonka-has-passed-away/

Hello The Metro! Any chance of chasing up Trevor Ray's apparent death while yer lurking?
-
Meanwhile me and Drol have given the kiss of immortality to our picks! No, wait, apparently George Mikell died last week? How did someone with that CV die without any of us noticing if so?
-
Rennie Williams, a school teacher credited with saving the lives of dozens of kids during the Aberfan disaster, has died aged 86 of cancer. In 1966 she had managed to get several injured children free from the building.

Ron Haddrick, acclaimed Australian TV and stage actor, died in February unnoticed by all us non-Ozzies. He was 90 and had been suffering from meningitis. However, he's back in the news, as he was the star of Australian SF show The Stranger (an 1965 Dr Who inspired show that was a huge influence on Australian TV, apparently) was recently found after being assumed wiped and has been remastered and put on YouTube by ABC. So here's a news story about an old actor getting to see their big break again in HD before they died. And here's a link to the YouTube.

I'd have allowed him in the Cup tbh. From a quick read, it seems like this guy was the man in Wisconsin college sports (a shockingly popular subgenre of sports in the US as every American film or TV series ever tells me) and had an Alex Ferguson like grip on pretty much every sport in the state, managing teams to countless numbers of trophies. So best known on a State level rather than internationally, but we've clearly had far less notable folk qualify for the various deadpools on here over the years. imo, of course.

You'd think 10 would be loud enough for Gooseberry.

Always a shame to lose alumni from Spinal Tap.

I predict the grim reaper is going to be 'like a super strong enema 'in 2020

I think you are right there are some big hitters yet to go this year (for example, that guy married to the Queen).
