"Dad! Dad! Let's go outside!" "No, not now, ask your mum." "She said to ask you!" "Not now..." (Wean does the Mrs Doyle impression ending with: "I'll give you some crisps!" "Give me a second. Hang on... what crisps?" (Wean puts on innocent face) "The crisps you're going to buy when we go out in the snow!" Snow's about one foot and a bit outside, which is still the most I can recall since 2010 at least.

Well, what do I know? They've closed the bloody schools. Deathray 1-0 msc
-
He's a he! Currently the oldest living leader of a European country.
-
PS Before my time, but looking up his history, YWillz or Charon might have memories of his double at Hampden which likely meant Spain qualified for the Euro 76 Quarters, instead of Scotland? Only got 8 goals for Spain, and 3 of them were against Scotland FFS!
-
A significant heart attack? Given he's dead. Anyhow, came on as a sub in the 82 World cup in the famous match Northern Ireland beat Spain 1-0.
-
And Marieke Vervoort has 25 and 1/2 hours to live to see 1st March in Belgium.

Even now, when it's a bit heavier, it's not lying on the ground. Fuss about nothing. Council just excited because its the Nats now and they've never had a snow day whereas for the previous 30 plus years it was Labour council and their "you''ll have had yer snow" policy.
-
And right as Deathray says that, apparently the council are considering a red warning for tomorrow and shutting the schools if it gets worse overnight. Doesn't look that bad to me...
-
Deathray's snow has arrived here. Though it's not very strong.

Peter Miles has died aged 89, according to his official twitter account. Here he is in happier times, as leader of a group of Nazis who ordered the creation of the Daleks in Doctor Who! Also seen in Z-Cars, Sweeney, Bergerac, the whole 70s/80s TV lot...

Sent out reminders to the one or two teams left without Round 2 teams (though I expect most of them to come in tomorrow, just being polite...). The Round 2 masterlist needs to wait till close to the deadline due to the number of close ties, so might be a wee bit after midnight on Thursday morning.

Centrimetres? But height was in feet, and it's the height of the snow being measured?
-
That'll be a sad loss if so. Beyond Bond: Sink the Bismarck, Alfie, Carve Her Name With Pride, Educating Rita. Hell of a CV.
-
^ I've seen the team. #prayformsc(orwormfarmer)

Glasgow doesn't get snow that much (more in the last year than in my lifetime, pretty sure) but we did get a good 2-3 foot of snow at one point in the late 90s and the schools remained open. Hah, I looked out the window there to be greeted by the most half-assed snow you'd ever seen. Bright clear skies ahead, and just two clouds barely emitting a few flakes. In fact, in the time taken to describe how pathetic it looked, it's turned into rain.
-
I've never had anything - school, business meetings, medicals - cancelled due to snow. Feeling left out.

The first page of Google tells me that my mum is apparently seen as scary and irritable.
-
Watching The Galaxy Britain Built, a BBC doc about Star Wars shown at Christmas. Robert Watts, the original film's production supervisor (and co-director at points), is interviewed for it, and was looking/sounding rather rough tbh. 80 in May, and given his CV is basically James Bond, Star Wars, Indiana Jones and Roger Rabbit, he'll piss a QO as and when he goes.
-
Aye, though if I found my mum's name on, say, DDT's DDP team, I'd be a bit worried tbh...
-
Apparently this guy:
-
Well, DI ain't one of the GOAT based on only reading the Ideas thread every Christmas!
-
I'm a bibliophile and I certainly haven't, though looking at her CV, it appears to be romance novels so obviously not her target audience.
-
Aye, well you can rest assured there are no Charlie Stillitano figures at Deathlist Cup HQ, so underdog wins always welcome.
-
Agreed, hence why that is the DISALLOWED LIST. You got the fame requirements spot on in Round 1, I wouldn't worry.
