He was on Last Word the other week but the BBC didn't mention him on the Last Word website. Which was a bit of a troll move.

I was a big fan of Linda Smith. It's still sad to be reminded she died so ridiculously young.

Feels like this has split into 3 groups already - the good/great songs, the songs which have their fans, and the red shirts circling the drain.

I changed the sodding dates 7 times, there's always one! Yes. Open for business. On the basis I forget to officially announce it's open and people tend to just send in lists from the second the thread opens!

Watch that video above and the one here which is from the same day, imo, yes, she is ill, but she looks great for someone 9 years into PSP. Can still hold her own spoon to eat and speak. Famous last words here but might be a safe 2023 drop and come back in December 2023 and see how she is then.

Frank Field not dead, writes briefly for the Times about Rishi Sunak. He says absolutely nothing about his health before anyone asks.

4 teams in already in the very early going - and around 150 celebs in those teams. Well, I think some of them are celebs!

All of these magicians seem to take ill in their 70s (even Teller above has heart issues), meanwhile David Berglas, who was doing magic before most of them were born, is quietly approaching his 97th year on the planet!

The first artist born in each year to have a UK no.1 single
msc replied to Hartnell 1999's topic in DeathList extra-curricular
I see your Lennon/Jones thing and just want to point out that Cliff Richard had had about 6 or 7 UK number ones before the Beatles or Tom Jones had any! -
Even the most solid of sources can make mistakes now and again.

Had heart issues for ages. Got asked to perform at a George Harrison memorial concert and started prepping hard for it, and the excitement killed him.

Excellent song. The lead singer, Brian Connolly, was adopted half-brother of Glasgow legend Mark McManus (ie Jim Taggart). Both men died of alcoholism in the 90s. Never met Connolly but McManus was a lovely man.

Unsure if the "vote once a day" counts when your last vote got retconned! But anyhow, as with last time, the songs which made the top 10 but didn't get to number one in 1972 and 1973 include: I'd bat for all of them over nearly 70% at least of the ones that actually made it to number one!
-
I agree with Toast and En Passant. Let the 1972 killing fields commence!
-
55 Smokey Robinson & The Miracles – Tears of a Clown +4 34 Simon & Garfunkel – Bridge over troubled water -6 31 T. Rex - Get it on 14 Slade - Coz I luv you Nowt against Art and Paul, this vote is just designed to get to Round 2 faster.
-
Presumably Payne and (sadly) Hendrix don't have long left, as the forum have multiple Osmonds to murder later this week, Err, I mean, Round 2, and who knows what the options are there.

No qualifying obit in over 2 weeks, mind you.

Lawson has looked like an unexpected boo would finish him off for years now. Though given he was meant to be quite badly ill with cancer about a decade ago (never did find out what type of cancer) he's done well to make it this far. As has Dennis Skinner tbh - the hushed tones from Labour folk who knew during the 2019 election made it sound like 3 months was a tall order, let alone 3 years.
-
Looks and sounds better there than he did during the last election, where he struggled to speak. (That is 2022 footage, right?)
