Mixing him up with Alfred Lynch (the other guy from Fenric)? Who had a 40+ year relationship with James Culliford (who appeared in Frontier in Space!). Lynch wound up looking after him for 30 odd years. Of course, it used to be that in Who fandom, people mistook Culliford for Landen (ie for being Lynch's other half), because Landen played a wheelchair bound man in Fenric alongside Lynch, and both died in the same week, iirc. (Culliford died shortly before Lynch too, so it all sort of merges, I guess.) Curse of Fenric was fantastic though and so was Landen, entertaining in everything, even shite like The Buccaneers. One of those actors who should have been much bigger than they were, imo. Seen Adam Adamant, but don't mind his widow off of it.

We wont get suspicious until Stacy Keach dies next week...

I gave his health a vote of confidence, kept him off my team for this year. If he goes and dies now, well, he's really let me down, to be honest.

Always surprises me Pavarotti wasn't on the list. Someone that famous with Pancreatic Cancer is almost certainly a shoe in these days. This is where someone names someone nowhere near as famous as Pavarotti as a retort.

Silly Joey, he got a Times obit!

msc replied to Dr. Zorders's topic in DeathList extra-curricular
There's a Dave Allen routine about that, including the moment some guy in New York stopped in front of him and yelled: "SHIT! I stood in some doggy doo-doo." -
Useless info: His death brings David Butler onto the 4th row of names living from 1924 on my stupidly long Word Doc.

All of these people. They all got QO at the time. If some of them don't, six months later, don't blame me.

Sure, Wilson appeared at Thatcher's funeral, was in the Scilly Isles last Summer, and is still friendly with a whole bunch of journalists and current MPs, but fuck it, she probably died years ago and no one noticed.

Pan Breed favourite! Sorry, it's in my Deathlist Forum contract and everything...
-
Yes, quite. Of course, if we really want him to live another decade, we should convince the Cmme to put him on their list for 2018. That's the kiss of life for pro-wrestlers!

80s, lung cancer, refusing chemo = dead before Hallowe'en, imo.

I did complain about the lack of an obit for a DDP pick last year, and the newspaper provided an obit within 3 days. Wasn't one of my picks, though, just coming towards the end of the year at that point.
-
At this point, I feel bad for not picking him, as it would have guaranteed him another 4 months of life on my form this year.
-
Had literally only heard of about fifteen people on that list.

Ah, the Ox Baker of boxing.

Did I miss some news?

Nearly dies, comes back, sells new T-shirt. Legend. Still think he'll be dead within two years, mind you.

RIP. I feel enough of a comedic pause has passed for the appropriate tribute: ..... Fuckin' hell!

With just under 4 months before 2018 (already?), still far too much time before nominations open for the 2018 Crowdsourced Deathlist! However, an announcement of a minor rule change. Testing this out in 2018, to see if it influences turn out, but you will not need to submit 50 names for a vote to count. 50 is cool, the more of those the merrier, but many of us don't have the time or inclination to name so many people for a non-reward game. So, this November, when nominations for the 3rd annual list open, people will be allowed to send in a list of between 12 minimum and 50 maximum people. This will be tested out for the 2018 version, and if it doesn't work (ie we don't have much of a change in volume of voters), I reserve the right to revert to previous for 2019, if we're still here of course.

Despite the millennium stuff, centuries are counted 01 to 100.

Joke, Handy! You know, Joey being Mijke and all that... Anyhow, Diablo seemed cool enough, then just vanished. A shame.

Terry Waite? Norman Kember? Elizabeth Smart? Off the top of my head.

Not to say I am heavily sleep deprived, but earlier I saw Spade's comment, but not YW's news post above. Not quite as astounding timing, then!

Giant Haystacks probably still dead, though.
