Yes, I'm the pathetic one. Windsor (20)

I'll be banging on about it until 31 December 2007. Then you all can do what you want because I've decided I won't be running in any deadpools next year. There is no point if you can't compete and I'll admit that I can't.

Sultan Hashim Ahmed and Hussein Rashid Al-Tikriti will also be executed tomorrow. Congrats to the teams who picked them on the DDP when they are executed! Congrats? Whatever for?

I'd like to know how much DDP near misses one can actually have in a bloody year. I'm getting bored of this routine...

The Remakable Banshees Scream
Windsor replied to Banshees Scream's topic in DeathList extra-curricular
Sorry Windsor, I (sort of) agree with The Pooka here. DL need 'eccentrics'. Including one who threatens to use personal contact information against other members? Personal contact information I didn't give him, might I add. -

So BS says he makes a complete twunt of himself only when he thinks we have done something to deserve it. As this is clearly all of the time, perhaps we should take a long hard look at ourselves. Or not. Running Banshees 'out of town' sounds good to me. -

He's currently 'on' nearly 700 page views, Honez is the only one remotely close with over 500 and nobody else is anywhere near that. Is there some kind of mutual page view appreciation society gannin' on between the two of them or does BS's personal page contain secret coded information to pre-fixed bets? None of the above. He just keeps visiting his own page over and over to make himself seem more popular. -
Congratulations footballfan! That will no doubt take you back to the top of the DDP rankings. Hope you get the points.

Ban this IP address. This character seems familiar.

Which was? Remind us please.... About three days before he stepped down as Lib Dem Leader, I predicted that he would lead the party probably into the next election...

Me

Hardly. Given the sh*t he has had to deal with in his first 100 days, I would say that the polls are treating him not too badly. Dave C is the one who needs to look worried. He is a weak leader and too insecure in personality. As for Mr. Osbourne, I had to laugh when he accused Alistair Darling of being lacking in charisma. I found his speech to be rather condescending especially regarding the tone of his voice. In short, Brown's political career is not yet dead largely due to the fact that there is no effective opposition. (At this point it is only fair that DL members remember my prediction about Charles Kennedy).

Given that this entire story was about my experience and my actions would you care to rewrite it for the benefit of the forum?

I hope this isn't declared to be an 'incredibly pompous post' but, having already dumped the Special Archives Library into Room 101, I'd like to put the rest of the University of Aberdeen in with it! Let me explain. At the start of every year, returning students have to register and update ID cards etc. For me this process should have ended on 20th September. It is supposed to be a process which takes 48 hours at most - but not for me. First my problem came when the library systems deemed my ID card to be invalid. Then I discovered that my Student Portal (which tells me about my timetable as well as confirming my courses), had not been updated. Thirdly, I found that that my WebCT service has not been registered. By the way, WebCT is a database on which students can pick up essential documents for tutorial discussion. For two weeks I've had to go crying back to the course coordinater to ask for handouts. Fourthly, I am still not on the class register for my politics course. Put all this and what does it tell you? Well it tells me that, as far as the University of Aberdeen is concerned, I'm not a valid student. The University of Aberdeen has the organisational skills of a junkie going cold turkey! On a serious note, I'm beginning to get worried.

Well that wasn't the best announcement for my blood pressure...

Day 2 at the Diana inquest, and Mr. Al Fayed has already caused a fuss.
-
Oxfam shop founder, Joe Mitty, has died aged 88. Sorry if this has already been posted.
-
The inquest begins. It will cost £3 million for security only. Regardless of the outcome, we can be assured that Mohammed Al Fayed will continue his campaign: - Mr. Al Fayed

Deathlist Dreaming
Windsor replied to harrymcnallysblueandwhitearmy's topic in DeathList extra-curricular
I had a fairly odd dream last night. It started off with me sitting in my house watching TV when all of a sudden there was a knock at the door. I went to answer the door, and as soon as it opened, someone barged past me with a bottle of booze claiming that there was a party at my house. I looked down my path to find that there were more zombie like party goers coming up my drive. Again they all just barged past me. I remember that my house was full and I was getting fairly stressed out because I didn't know any of the people. The place was trashed and they started spewing up everywhere (I'm assuming they spewed, I only recall cleaning it up while drunken people tripped over me). Anyway, as the night wore on I started asking people to leave. It was going well until I asked a particularly big black guy to leave. I remember he was wearing a white fur coat, and can remember being terrified of him. Anyway, I asked him to leave. He pulled a gun on me and chased me out my house. That's all I can remember. It could reflect my dislike of social occassions. I had an even odder dream the night before that. It involved me now deceased Grandma. She was discussing her health and she said that she wasn't all that ill. Then I had that strange feeling where I knew this couldn't be right, because I remembered she was dead. It is odd when that happens. I often have odd dreams like that. One of the worse ones was about six months after she died. One of her friends who was her next door neighbour had died in real life. Anyway, around that time I dreamed that I was on my way to tell my grandma that her good friend had died. I climbed the stairs to her flat, past her now deceased friend's flat (they were on the same landing), and rang my granda's doorbell. There was no one answering so I went into her house to the living room. She wasn't in her chair. I checked the kithen where she would often sit and nose into passer byes business. She wasn't there. I then checked her bedroom. I couldn't see her but her bed was unmade so I checked the floor fearful that she had fallen on to the floor through the night. She wasn't there. Then in a panic, I made my way out of her house on to the landing and there she was - standing outside her dead friend's house. She had her stick in one hand, and grasped the railing with the other - she just stood there looking at me. Then I woke up. Again I knew it made no sense. She died six months before her friend. It was fairly spooky though - perhaps she is haunting me. -
Two false statements in one, Banshees. Not bad.

Bit out of date Winny, the Pot was won tonight but a group of " Spotty Herberts". The Eggheads lost out by not knowing how many States in the USA still had the Death Penalty and the Herberts knew that Nicosia was the furthest South EU Capital compared to Lisbon and Valleta. Where do you live? In Scotland the eggheads won tonight.
