    Ideas and possibilities for 2007

Perhaps 2008. It's his Diamond Wedding Anniversary in late 2007. We have concluded elsewhere that people seem to die after an large milestone anniversary of some sort. Sometine in late 2007/early 2008 (I haven't counted the days(yet)) the Queen becomes the oldest ever serving British Monarch taking Queen Victoria's record. Sadly for you Republican deathlisters there are rumours that she wants to take another of Queen Victoria's records. (Over 63 years )

    Nazi of SS

It wasn't the Russians, his body was dug up near Hitler's Berlin bunker in the 1980's. They were building a car park there. They found glass fragments in his teeth - he poisoned himself in May 1945. I've said this before somewhere...

I don't agree at all. Living to 117 or so is a much more significant achievement than a lot of "celebrities". Although it is a significant achievement, it does not make you a celebrity in the true sense of the word. The whole arguement is not about celebrity, but the fame gained from the achievement of supercentenarian status.
  10. Yes, I was nominated and reinstated last night/this morning. Sorry about that.
  11. I got 2181. It's all down to luck.

Yes, but people think of him as a Mary due to his name. So they think he is female.

    Ideas and possibilities for 2007

The Duke of Wellington When this guy dies he will probably get an obit because of his famous title. Born in 1915, turns 91 this year. Unfortunately no news on his health. Found him when looking up Knights of the Garter. There's a vacancy following the death of Ted Heath so fingers crossed. Perhaps a novelty pick for 2007.

    PW Botha

Sir Edward Heath (PM from 1970-74) and Lord James Callaghan (PM from 1976-1979) both died last year. Almost consecutive past leaders (Damn you Harold Wilson!).

    Fat And Fearless

How about Helmut Kohl, the former German Chancellor (1982-1997). My German Politics lecturer said the guy was about 20 stone (naturally I automatically thought of this thread). Anyway, he turns 76 this year. Not sure if he is still fat though.

    Name Shame?

who was he? (i was away for a while) and whats that 'warn' thing under my name? It was a she, a she who shall remain nameless because she wasn't appointed. Everybody has a warn thing under their name but you can only see your own unless you are a mod or admin.

Indeed, I felt that there were more deserving members out there who deserved the title of moderater. I even nominated my successor.

    Queen Elizabeth II

Damn the Encyclopedia Britannica - it lies! It claimed that James II was the only English Monarch to abdicate. Mind you - it was an old edition...
