I'm guessing that members of this forum are getting fairly cheesed off with me always brining up Royal topics but any way. I put the former King of Afghanistan in the ideas for 2006 thread but feel that I should raise his profile in deathlist further. The former king is 91 years old this year (b.1914) and has suffered many complaints in recent years. The average life expectancy for a male in Afghanistan today is only 46.97 years. There is also the risk that he may fall victim to political assassination because the Taliban certainly didn't want him alive. Finally if Karzi is to be considered for relisting in 2006, would it not be a better idea to list a frailer man who is considered just as important as Karzi inside Afghanistan?

Where is the justice here. Ronnie Biggs who is on deaths door is not being released from prison regardless of ill health. However Robert Excell, 67, has been flown back to Britain to be released due to ill health. Mr. Excell is a convicted paedophile who has reoffended every other time he was released. So why on gods earth do they keep Biggs in and let Excell out. I dont think that Biggs can rob trains in his condition however Excell could easily rape a child.

On a more realistic note... He seems healthy enough. I would imagine that the biggest threat to man would be during one of his surprise visits to Iraq. However the possibility of him being killed in such surcumstances is fairly low even then. (Unless he gets shot down by friendly fire that is).

Capt. Townsend was Equiry to King George VI (if my memory is correct) and fancy man to H.R.H the late Princess Margaret.

Here comes another Royal scandal. There are claims that Princess Margaret and Capt. Townsend had a secret love child. The love child: Charles Duff, the adopted son of the socialite former owners of the Faenol Estate. This is the funny part. If is not Margaret's and Peter's - its former prime minister Anthony Eden's and his adoptive mother's. I'm hoping Eden because I can't be arsed with another Royal scandal.

Comic legend Jerry Lewis is getting the television academy's prestigious Governors Award in recognition for his more than half-century of work. I believe it doesn't get awarded until September/October (no this isn't a new month). Will he still be around to recieve it? (Dramatic pause) Who knows!?

Ah - thank you janeo - you have provided me with the best example. Royalists like Diana because she was nice. Monarchists hate Diana because she almost/did destroy the monarchy. Ofcourse should William become King I shall have to like her .

Royalists are your every day grannies and softies who feel and morn for the Royal Family. Monarchists only support and defend the Royal Family without caring about the members personal welfare. For example - a Royalist would see the Queen's death as the worst possible thing that could happen whereas Monarchists see it as a neccessary part of Monarchy. The whole thing is my personal idea by the way. The capital thing - it depends on my mood. Hope that answers your question.
