He's more tactless than racist, I feel, with such lack of tact revealing itself in off-colour remarks which can be/are construed as racist, and at face value some are undoubtly racist. But hes not racist like the Met. I disagree. He is so unracist that he doesn't recognise the things he says as racist because he doesn't recognise difference in race. Most of the things he says relates to culture rather than race, or factual racial differentials such as Chinese people having slitty eyes...which they do. People just like to be offended these days. Nothing has actually been proven against Prince Andrew and although the ages of the girls he was allegedly cavorting with isn't helpful, I don't believe any of them are reported to be under the age 16. I don’t understand why you all think he is at deaths door and is in bad condition for his age. A couple years back he had both hips replaced and was walking in weeks. The very fact that he was walking aged 99 unaided makes him in better shape that 90%+ of near centenarians who generally sit and vegetate in their own piss and shit. Lastly, the fact that he was given the procedure suggests he was considered well enough to probably survive it which again, at nearly 100, means he is still considered relatively fit. in short: back aff fantasists!

What makes you so sure they will get a majority? I think there is a strong likelihood they have suffered political damage as a result of this saga. They will be the largest party certainly. But a majority is not a dead cert.  The general and collective stupidity of the people of Scotland who will vote for anything with the word ‘Scottish’ in it.

Who else is enjoying watching the top levels of the Scottish Executive squirm? Despite how it looks to most rational people, the Supreme Leader will survive this if only because it is impossible for her to do wrong in the eyes of her adoring and slavish supporters. Yes, I've always (ALWAYS!!) wondered about this. I mean, the House terminology was always very precise, i.e. House of York / Lancaster even though they were both basically House of Plantagenet. Or more similarly, House Windsor (or Saxo-Coburg-Gotha) was House Hanover, until the death of Queen Victoria. So yes, with Charles House Mountbatten would begin. Yet, I think they are not going to change it. The male line is a bit anachronistic today. I think they originally moved to goalposts because nobody liked the Moutbattens (who were Battenburgs until 1917) because they were too foreign. Churchill hated the idea of a House of Mountbatten. If you look at every major house in peacetime, they ‘ended with a lass’. The Tudors ended with Elizabeth I. The Stuarts ended with Queen Anne (although it could be claimed the House of Orange ended the House of Stuart in 1688/9). The Hanoverians ended with Queen Victoria. The only practical reason I can see for not allowing the House of Mountbatten to succeed is the recent change to allow female born heirs to be placed in order of birth before younger brothers because: a) if you had three Queen Regnant in a row like in Holland the royal house would have to change more frequently. b) let’s say William was a girl and he married Mr Middleton. As Royals start marrying more middle class do we want a House of Middleton or a House of Smith? These are the things that keep me awake at night...
