Couldn’t find a thread for the new Duke of Edinburgh. I thought Prince Edward was looking quite gaunt in the photos from today. He has certainly lost a lot of weight since his mother died. This may be why they are backing down from their suggestion that the next General Election be a independence referendum. It has been suggested that Sturgeon resigned because it was her preferred route to independence but she knew the party wasn’t buying it.

Both of my remaining grandparents died - six months apart - just as we were pulling away from COVID (not from COVID). What you say makes 100% sense as I do sometimes wonder if it was worth pretty much abandoning them for most of the last year/18 months of their lives. The only positive is they both died peacefully and not gasping for their last breaths.

Not forgetting their girlfriends too…
