I have often noticed that and wondered, what exactly happenned on Nov 9th 2004 to give us so many hits? Here's a clue. (Well, a bit more than a clue really.) Wow that is a great link.

    Margaret Thatcher

I trust you're not including me in that preposterous lefty insult? Good to hear from you again EG, how are you keeping? Theres been a shortage of right thinking individuals round here. Are there many examples of left-wingers posting in this forum then?

    Richard O'Sullivan

Note too the familiar and jovial use of the abreviation "Dickie O."

Oh dear, we do keep disagreeing on this point, spuddy ol' chum! Possibly the greatest leader seen in the latter half of the last century whose legacy has been squandered by the Bliar/Brown twunts. Sadly will probably pass on very soon and is the only realistic choice on my HeartyPool entry. Damning with faint praise a bit there aren't you Josco old thing? Let me see.. we have: Clement Attlee Winston Churchill (2nd term; didn't win any wars this time) Anthony Eden (Suez Crisis) Harold McMillan The Earl of Home Harold Wilson (Devalued the Pound, Industrial Disputes) Edward Heath (common agricultural policy) Harold Wilson again (hade to be baled out by the IMF) James Callaghan (Winter of Discontent) Margaret Thatcher (riots, moral bankruptcy, poll tax) John Major (can't think of anything he did) Tony Blair (enough said) My vote is for Attlee or McMillan. Time for a poll? Millwall? Such as "Who is the most dead, Atlee or Macmillan?" ?

Josco? Sorry ATJ, are you asking my opinion, or did you think I was in that picture. Josco has hit upon the most important point in any current discussions of the Leaderene. With only a few weeks to go-Should she be on DL2006? Any thoughts moderators?

But it is nice to be the number 1 in the google search isn't it? Any posts in this thread, provided they are at least vaguely on topic, are welcomed. It would be nice to stay up there.

Golden Nugget looked in good form though didn't he?

OK, let us put an end to all this ranting. I think the most interesting question at the moment as far as this thread goes is why is Dickie O attracting so many drive by ranters? My own theory is that it is because we are number one (currently) for the Google punter looking fpr info on this particular actor-fallen -on -hard -times. This poses two further interesting questions. Does this fact mean that deathlist/this thread is getting better/worse/more interesting? What is the mental state of the average Dickie O searcher? (Searcher mind. Not ranter) No cheap jokes please.

What does "get a life" mean? If taken literally it's "kil someone".

    Most Memorable Of Dl 2005.

There is something special abot about the DOS thread. I would nominate all the bad feeling that seemed to go on during the high-summer about how much posting should be allowed, what polls are legitimate, how one gets to be a moderator, etc. A good blood-leeting period that has made the forum a better place. On a personal level I would nominate the personal, unsolicited, personal message I received from Typhoid Harry trying to tell me what and what not to post. Telling him to !^££$ off was one of the most self-affirming and pleasant experiences I have had in this forum. Funny , you don't hear much from him lately.

    Gerald Ford

What else does he deserve credit for.....his golfing abilities? I've got to give him props for one thing, and it's this: http://www.rotten.com/library/bio/presidents/gerald-ford/ Rotten is a great site isn't it.

    Richard Pryor

I wish someone else had have been our latest success. He was at one time the funniest man alive.

    Who's Next?

With Rosa Parks hearing the conductor's cry of "All change please!" for the very last time, who will be the next success for DL 2005? 11 deaths is a good strike rate, more than 1 a month (at the moment) and it was nice to see that Ronnie Biggs, although the "peolple's favourite", is no more likely to die this year than any other old lag trying to catch Charles Clarke's eye for a compassionate release. And as to the psychic who has been telling DL that JKB would die next I will leave DL 'ers to draw their own conclusions. So , who will die next?
  15. millwall32

    Who's Next?

Not a mention of Richard Pryor, Banshees powers must be fading. No-one voted for him in any of the polls I have set up.
  16. millwall32

    Thirteen 13

You beat me to it cup of tea. I normally take great pleasure in setting up these polls after someone has died. I had a punt on the Yogi.

    Pink Floyd

Strange really as the Pink Floyd music improved beyond recognition after Syd was turfed out. No it didn't. Thank you "oldtimer" (work on the typing a bit though).
  18. millwall32

    Tommy Cooper

Hadn't thought about it buit will now look for it. What a great screensaver that would make.
  19. millwall32

    Pink Floyd

I fell asleep after paragragh 3. Sorry I disagree. Thank you "oldtimer" for a fascinating but of posting. Do feel free to come back.

    Charlie Drake.

It looks very much like an elderly and moist eyed gentleman who despite a lifetime spent applying himself to all-round family entertainment has spent no time with the cranial region of a child resting in his lap. I think the title of this film poster will reflect that comforting fact
  21. millwall32

    Paul Gascoigne

Very foolish chaps. No real reason to beleive he is in terrible health. Unless of course you take the testimony of the Kettering Chairman seriously.

Peace Activists In Iraq - Brave Or Barmy?

The peace activists are there to support the ordinary Iraqi people, not the insurgents. The stupidity of the left you say, so unlike the stellar intelligence of the Neo Cons. Plus who says they are of the left. As far as I am aware they are peace activists, what exactly is "left" about that? Also I think you are wrong that any peace train activists were holding hands with Saddam .Rumsfeld did but that is a different story. Even Saddam's body guards were unwilling to hold his hand in the end. Equally the "hand wringing liberals" are no longer getting an idea what Saddam's Iraq is like since he is no longer in charge and the area is supposed to be "safe" or "viable" or "neutralised" or whatever form of words Bush is currently using.

    Charlie Drake.

I remember when I wrote that one. Took it to the agent, wandered outside afterwards - dunno what happened after that but I woke up the following day in a police cell with bruises everywhere. Valdimir enters stage left with the head of a child betwen his legs. "We are cursed to wait-to wait for Peado"

    Richard O'Sullivan

Now that is interesting. With regrad to this thread what can we do with the information that Brinsworth House are happy to deal with e-mails about R O'S?
  25. millwall32

    Charlie Drake.

Yes. I remember seeing him in a Beckett play on the t.v. a few years back. He did not at that time have the head of a sugar crazed child between his legs. If I am wrong someone please correct me.
