    Alex Higgins (And Snooker)

Yep, I agree, From 4:41 on it certainly looks like he's trying to throw that frame.

I was looking at some older snooker players for the main list. My pick would be Rex Williams (b.1933) I didn't realise he had some Father Ted style "financial irregularities" later in life. Rex Williams - Wikipedia

    Alex Higgins (And Snooker)

I was scrolling through Twitter earlier and there was a lot of stuff about how Alex Higgins would've been 75 today. Interestingly, the comments were about 60% "He was a genius" and 40% "I've met him and I hated him."

Bit of an obscure one, but American actor Lewis Stone (1879 – 1953) dying of a heart attack while receiving police assistance. Found in Kenneth Anger's Hollywood Babylon.

I'd forgotten about Joe Haines writing that. Thanks for the tip Deathrace. I'll give that pod a listen,

    Arthur Scargill

I was surprised to see him out and about giving a speech the other day. He does seem in very good nick for his age. But I also remember him saying that he refuses to cross a picket-line to get NHS treatment. Which is a sort of "long-term" possible health issue. Also lives as a recluse now.

    Engelbert Humperdinck

I'm seeing him live in LA in a couple of months time. I'll report back if he's looking peaky. (Am seeing Wayne Newton and Gilbert O'Sullivan too so will do the same.)

It would make sense but I doubt it because the timeline's don't fit. Virgo didn't have a visible neck problem 25 years ago. .......and even as I write that I realise I could be totally wrong. It could take ages for such an injury to become visible. So yeah, maybe. #gethimonthelist

There's a lot of specualtion about what the heck is going on with his crooked neck. Hope he's not too bad.

People Who Are Dead According To Wikipedia...

It;s a strange one because in that episode of Yes Minister he looks like he's in his 70's. Here he is 40 years later in his 90's and he looks like he's in his 70's.

    Shane MacGowan

At 65, MacGowan has to be one of our younger successful hits. We certainly haven't had many in their 40's and 50's.
