    Margaret Thatcher

As a note for the moderators-it is getting near selection time for nexy year and at least a dozen people in this thread want Thatcher on it. I would say she is a very strong candidate especially givern what her daughter is saying about her (allowing for the fact that it may just be wishfuk thinking by CT).

...and by the way. If we don't already have 24 hour drinking in this country what exactly did he die of?

    Hot tips?

I have no hot tips but I just wanted to post because this is the first time I have ever had the entire forum to myself. It is 10-2-7 and apparently no other DL'ers are awake yet. I feel like I've been, Jeffrey Bernard style, left locked in a pub overnight.

Here is the most recent image I could find. Judge for yourself whether he looks ill.

As with so many names suggested for the list he is a good strong candidate who might or might not make it onto DL 2006 depending on the moderator's personal prejudices. Certainly EB doesn't have any serious ilnesses that make him a strong candidate or would make it a waste to not include him. Fat sod though......

    Margaret Thatcher

Fairly serious candidate. I believe she has been on the list proper a few times and there has been some pressure, correct in my view, to get her on 2006.

    Richard O'Sullivan

But of course, gratuitous abuse of this shuffling excuse for an actor, over-rated sex god and - frankly hilarious - broken down showbiz wreck must come only after we've considered the relevant and interesting aspects of his existence. Wonder where he stands on global warming after such conspicious support of coal fires in those old television adverts. Relevant and interesting in the context of deathlist Mary!

I think our stance on it would be , "This is the DEATHlist and not the "Those -who died -but- only -through -natural -causes" list. And a death is a death is a death."

    Richard O'Sullivan

Whilst remaining relevant and interesting of course.

Do leave off. How is drinking yourself to death demonstrating the will to live? millwall, I wish you would read my post before commenting on it. I meant the "will to live" in the context of George continuing to fight his illness while in critical condition. Many people had thought that he was going to die 3 weeks ago and had written him off, but he is still alive. Fair comment. But it was an ambiguous post on your part.

    Hot tips?

Was not even aware of this thread. Surely we should make use of it for 2006?

Who? I think BB means ex- Pres Jimmy Carter ( his family were in the Peanut trade in Georgia ) No I meant Bob Hastings who worked with Ernie back on McHale's Navy. Hastings went on to advertise for Skippy Peanut Butter (before Annette Funicello did) and he also appeared as Kelsey the owner of Kelsey's Bar on All in The Family he then went on to work on the day time serial General Hospital as a police chief Bert Ramsey who had the hots for Lesley Webber. From what I can recall he never did anything with her that would have made you think he was into peanut butter but back then they didn't show as much bedroom stuff on the screen. Oh riiight....I thought for a moment you were being obscure.

People I Was Surprised To Find Are Still Alive

Surely she would have already known that she was still alive.....? Either that or she's got damn strong willpower! Fair enough.....I was surprised to hear that she is alive .
