Two interesting things about that story. He clearly got a false positive and then went back and got, imagine the surprise, a negative. Also did you see the look of deep boredom and ingratitude on his face when he was on the news over the weekend. He simply said, in a northern gay Alan Bennet via Mavis Barroclough voice, "Well I supopose its quite good news" rather than being delighted that he was, so far as he is concerned, the first human to be "cured" of A.I.D.S. It backs up my pet theory that on the morning they do find an A.I.D.S cure there will not be widespread f*****g in the streets so much as load of people saying "What a palaver" and worrying about their cholesterol count instead.
