I think you'll find they are commemorating those who died defending civilisation.
-
I think if you read the thread from the begginning you will not feel like that.
-
I get the general impression that, as the winter draws in, speculation is dying down as to who will die next this year. Maybe it has been a good year, we should settle at 12 and look forward to DL 2006. I am gently confident about the Patrick Moore speculation but I don't expect too many fireworks ( ) before December 31st.

Pardon the rudeness of the other posters. Tell me who else is in there? Who was your granny? Do you have any idea who is in there now?
-
Fair Point.
-
They come about third or fourth when you google deathlist.

I think Bernard Manning is a very funny man who, if I am correctly remembering what I have heard from friends who have recently been up to the Embassy club to see his nightly performance, is in good health for his age but has a few heart problems (please feel free to quote the five words before these parentheses out of context to make your own joke). I would have thought he is not worth including on the DL 2006 since he will likely die suddenly on stage (again feel free to use that as you wish).

Lady Diana would seem to be a good example of an animal with big teeth, ridden by everyone going and taken down in her prime after one jump too many. Does she count?
-
I think I'm right in saying there is a Kirk Douglas thread somewhere.

Hi spOok. This is the daethlist forum. We like to disscuss famous people and try to make accurate predictions about when they will die. Occasionally topics vear off into the validity of Richard O'Sullivan's acting, who's who in the Royal Forums, whether certain members are "over posting", and so on but basically we like to keep it at least tangentially related to celeberity death. Why not join us in our little community. Hell, why not contribute to the Are You Being Served thread ? Enjoy your time here, make friends, become one of us. And please feel free to keep your mentions of dreamland bouncing jugs down to a pragmatic minimum. Well done on getting yourself a keyboard. All the best millwall32

"Sign In /Out Timing" ? Man that is good reaserch.

At this posting the accumulated wisdom only equals 28 votes, not exactly a stellar effort on the part of the majority of our voting roster. I like to think of the missing 579 votes as spoilt ballots.
-
The accumalated wisdom of DL still goes with Mooore then?
-
Quite. I have enjoyed the Adam Ant interegnum but can we get back to the business at hand. Did Dickie O die/get back on telly yet?
-
I suppose R.O'S has starred in a few hit movies but I don't think that there has ever been a movie that has been a hit because of him.
-
Fair enough he is in bad health.
-
He was on Letterman this week and looked very good, had lost weight, and was (to the extent that he can be without Dean Martin) very amusing.
-
The Lomster is an interesting case. Another person who does not genertae a lot of DL trafic but who is bad health.
-
Well I remember the poem, "Do not go gently into that dark night, but rage, rage against the dying of the light." (Larkin? Blake? ) Although it doesn't sound as if he's doing much raging. Dylan Thomas I beleive.

Just a preemptive note to the moderators- this thread is about RO'S , which I admit is not exactly the highest level of discourse in the world, and is staying on topic. So please don't shut it down just because it has gotten a little vituperative of late. I have in mind what happened to the Pete Docherty thread.
-
I presume that his health (?) is bad??
-
since when was Peter Kay known for his standup? He is more known for his sitcom "Phoenix nights" and silly one-off TV shows that tell the same joke 50 times. Afternoon Alan. Have you had a look at the Brinsworth House thread (there is a link in my previous post) I think you will find it interesting.
-
A number of the most recent threads indicate that DL as a whole is going through a period of positive self-reflection.
