I think I have mentioned this in about four different threads but the former Lou Beale uses a rather good Italian restaurant in my neighbourhood and is foten to be seen dispensing showbiz stories to the locals and bemused American tourists. She seems to be in excel;lent health (she looks, incidentally, about 6/65) and I think a place for her on DL 2006 would be wasted.

    Who's Next?

So after (about) 24 hours the collective wisdom of DL is as follows. No-one has put in a "spoilt ballot paper" ( by which I, and only I, mean a wasted vote for the likes of Biggs, Maradona, etc) and no-one has changed the poll or posted any nonsense about how there should not be one. Patrick Moore is showing strong as he has done in every post DL success poll. Foot, Ford and Astor are all on three votes each reflecting the recent posting in their respective threads that the trio are in bad health. Three votes also fot Liz Taylor suggesting that many DL'ers actually beleive news of her ill-health to be real rather than related to trying to get her name back into the gossip colomns. One vote for J.K. Galbraith and I think I can use my paranormal powers to guess where that came from. One vote a -piece for two of the "quiet -men" of Dl- O'Sullevanm and the "Super-Calloused-Fragile-Mystic-Hexed -By -Halitosis". A vote for Pinochet but nothing for Castro or Karzai. Who do you go for.....????

    Death List Observer Dies

    That sounds plausible to me?

    Richard O'Sullivan

Just to try to get the thread back to death related topics. Does anyone have any info on the state of RO'S 's health. If he is in a seriously suicidal state we could make him a good outrider bet for the 2006 list. Any more info on "unwell members of the entertainment bussiness" who may live at the bottom of ROS's corridor can be posted in the above link.

Can't be arsed..... More like you can't wind us fans up cause you don't have a high enough IQ(neither does Baldie) Can you get clockwork fans these days, if so how splendid. Well I must also admit to a fondness for Richard O'Sullivan (Dickie O'). His child actor performances were rather good. I also have a partiality for the "Man About the House" film version. ....with the strange cameo by Spike Milligan and the shoehorning of Thames studios into the plot ?

In Bed With Me Dinner was very funny but Ted Rogers??? (he was born in Brixton like myself incidentally). And Barrymore?? What a twunt.

Wow. The R O'S thread appears to have gone made over the last few days. I will have to go back through it and see what the hell has been going on.

    Who's Next?

Funnilly enough I went for Ford myself.

    Margaret Thatcher

Would a Deathlist undergraduate be someone who's terminally ill or very old? And how would you define a postgraduate? Would a DL postgraduate be someone who died and came back like Richard Pryor, Roseanne Barr, Peter Sellers (I know it didn't last long in his case), or the Lord Jesus Christ?

    The William Shatner Forum

A must for Christmas! Hearing Bill sing "Common People" must be worth the price alone. My girlfriend actually got me that CD last Xmas. It is excellent.

    Harold Pinter

I thought it was interesting that when the Guardian asked the "master of suspended silence " for a quote he managed to thank the Nobel committee for 10 minutes. Could it have to do with the large cheque involved?

Which candadates will SURVIVE the year

I would say that Maradona , Pryor , and Karzai will be around for 2006.

    Most Obsessive Deathlisters

Question for the moderators. How many posts make you a "post-twunt"? Tempus Fugit, who I beleive is on about 900, and Heaven Can Wait, about 1200, are both "Twunts". Others with 900 or 1000+ posts are just moderators. Could someone explain it to me?

    Alex Higgins (And Snooker)

As far as I can remember he is back in Canada, off cocaine, and doing the snooker exhibition circuit.

    Gerald Ford

    Very sensible....perhaps too sensible.

    Shelley Winters

Funnilly enough she is one of my favourite actresses but she had never occured to me as a potential on DL 2006. Thanks for the news. [Posts in topic "Ideas and Possibilities" merged -- MH]

    Alex Higgins (And Snooker)

Joe davis? Joe Delaney? Joe Perry? Joe Su Lum? Joe Johnson? Joe Jogia? Joe Swail? (I'm bored now!) I think he may have been talking about Joe Longthorne.

Review of a book about Scmeling and Louis in the last Sunday Times. [Two Schmeling topics merged -- MH]
