O.K. I take it back. I don't know anything about astronomy anyway.

It's been done already thank you

He appears to be in the home for the terminally entertaining at Brinsworth House.

It makes me nervous but this thread appears to be becoming popular. Do we have any further ideas on who may be in there?
-
Exactly. Isn't PM only famous because he is a "character".

How? -
Does, the hopefully soon deceased, NW have a big Austrian following?

Good call Dennis. Healey has to be at least considered for 2006. His wife, I believe, recently passed away, he has looked frail and aged of late, and I seem to recall him having heart trouble. A strong posibility for 2006 (oops, I think that is turning into my catchphrase).

I agree that the grammar is teribble, the poster presumably not cogniscant of the high standards we kkep on this site, but I think he has a point. Red Buttons would seem to be fair candidate for DL 2006.

A good year (from our point of view) for dead Labour M.P.'s and Foot should peg it soon to. We could do with a bit of a cold snap this winter to up the average. ?????

I don't see why exactly he will be so sadly missed. Surely there are better astronomers with less irritating personalities?

Sorry that post (^) was me . Forgot to log in.

Her dead husband: a whining skag-head who wrote a few memorable tunes and then chickened out of life and fatherhood. Her: I would advise above posters to think more Nancy than Paula. Paula was actually quite talented and intelligent. CL is just some woman who has latched on to inumerable rock-stars (think back as far as her days as a Teardrop Explodes groupie). However she is clearly far to self obsessed/publicity hungry to ever do herself any real damage.Any problems she currently has will be cleared up next time she has an upcoming film/album/court appearence. Still, very good in "Man in the Moon" though.

Is that Weird Al Yankovich????

Tebbit, lke him or loathe him, has got years in him yet. Also quite sensetive husband if you reaserch his treatment of his wife , her incapacitation, and her depression after the Brighton Bomb.

Dunno! Might just be a "not very flattering photo" That particular photograph has been floating around for a few years now. Ever since it became fasionable to listen to Richard Pryor again in fact. In reality it is avery good guide to what RP looked like 2-3 years ago. Don't know how muxch more likely that makes him to go this year though. Incidentally, he used to go out with my ex -girlfriend and was reportedly "quiet".Don't know if that says more about her or him.

I apologise. I incidentally look nothing like my avatar.

With the best will in the world I am still not convinced that D O'C (^) is female.

Firstly why should we not be hard on the police? We pay their wages and clearly from the fact that they shot an innocent man they, or at least a section of high ranking police officers, do not know how to do their job. Also there is no evidence to suggest that he "legged it". He did not "leg it" out of his block of flats (and incidentally how did the police not know which man from the block they should have been going after) , he did nopt leg it onto the bus (the bus for goodness sake. If they suspected that he was a suicide bomber why was he not picked up before he got onto a bus ), and he clearly was not legging it when he stopped to pick up a Metro and went through the ticket barrier. And as for Blair (insert christian name of your choice) .Why are the Met giving out conflicting messages about the shoot-to-kill policy. There is an obvious cover up. There were obviously a series of lies told in the first 72 hours after the shooting. The police obviously assumed that a Brazillian ( a Brazillian by the way. Not a country noted for its large number of Al-Quaeda cells) was a suicide bomber because he was the wrong shade of light brown. I would suggest that particularly given the fact that London is under threat at the moment, we have every reason to be hard on the police. Would you be hard on those who kill the innocent because of their incompetence? End of rant. Nothing personal.

I think the idea was actually for something along the lines of a " cyber sapce convention". And I do take Ali's point. There are a few names on DL 2005 that I would question (for example I have a real bugbear about Maradona being on there) and I think that getting all DL'ers involved in the selection process could be a good thing. What actually happens to all the names on the suggestion for 2006 thread?

C'mon. Is that picture really you? Do you not look more like this Dylan ????????

Saw her in Marylebone High Street a few weeks ago and she actually looks worse in real life.

We'll get back to the possibilty of Norman Wisdom,s demise soon. But let us not discount the possibility that Dylan O'Connor is in fact a bloke . Norman Wisdom-good bet to go by the end of the year I would have thought.

Ideas and Possibilities for 2006

I don't think that drug addiction per se is enough to put someone on DL. See the waste of a good DL 2005 spot that is Diego Maradona for example. Besides in Eminem's case it would be a shame to see him die ; the man is quite a good lyricist.
