    Wilson Pickett

Another soul singer with 'colliery connections', Isaac Hayes, ('The Theme from Shaft'), was rushed to hospital recently suffering from 'exhaustion'. Hayes appears to be suffering from Religious Bloody Stupidity which is so serious it coud well be terminal. Yep, the BBC poll reveals that most people think that Isaac Hayes is a dick, or words to that effect.

    Charles Durning?

    That any better.
  3. Take part in a clinical drugs trial, you might just find that the wait for death is considerably shortened.

    Ideas and possibilities for 2007

    This the one?

    Joe Longthorne

Joe Longthorne is a Chicken-in-a-Basket entertainer, nothing more. If I was there I'd definitely be ill after listening to that shite.

    Not Exactly Famous...

"Miss Deaf Texas" killed by a train, she didn't hear its horn. A tragic tale, but it made me laugh, I'm such a bad person.

    Near misses 2006

It is? ok, sing it to us then! The French lyrics and an English translation can be found here It's full of violence and bloodlust.

    Near misses 2006

I stand correceted CP, his death has now produced more than 250 news obits, including one from The Guardian. So I guess he was fairly well known in the US.

    Near misses 2006

Which is why her death produced all of 6 news obits, stop taking the piss iain.
  10. Tempus Fugit

    Near misses 2006

iain that link is useless, proper link here. Another one that belongs in "Not exactly famous thread.
  11. Tempus Fugit

    Near misses 2006

More suitable for the "Not exactly famous thread, I'd have thought, his death ain't exactly setting the newswires a buzzin.
  12. Tempus Fugit

    Harold Pinter

I must have lost a month somehow then, 'cause I'd swear it's only mid march. Maybe I had a very, very long blackout.
  13. Tempus Fugit

    Thirteen 13

Another one to be closed I think, it's relevance being somewhat nonexistent now.

    Failure Of The Death List?

You jest surely, if not, then consult an optician immediately.

    Read Any Good Books Lately?

If you want classic escapist nonsense, then it has to be Billy Bunter "The Fat Owl of the Remove" every time, none of your PC rubbish there.

    Mr. Sandman's Finest Funerals

This should really have been posted in the "Things to do while waiting for death" thread.
  17. Tempus Fugit

    Mickey Rooney

OoO, you did remember to breathe while indulging in that post frenzy I hope.

    Near misses 2006

Not for the seven DDP teams who selected him, at least he's scored a few points for them.
  19. Catch a sh*t, click on options and select track 3. I managed 100 121
  20. Tempus Fugit

    Slobodan Milosevic

The BBC news ticker is reporting that a source has told Dutch TV that leprosy drugs have been found in Milosevic's blood. So suicide or murder is looking more likely.
  21. Tempus Fugit

    James Bond 007 (Connery/Moore/Villains etc)

Yet another pointless thread started by iain, the news is he's made a full recovery, the op happened weeks ago. Haven't you got the hang of caps lock yet iain?
  22. Tempus Fugit

    Not Exactly Famous...

Robert Feliciaggi a Corsican MP and casino owner. Has unsurprisingly died after being shot in the head several times, somebody must have really disliked him.
  23. Tempus Fugit

    Near misses 2006

Bernie "Boom Boom" Geoffrion, a famous Canadian ice hockey player for the Montreal Canadiens and credited with inventing the Slap Shot in the sport. has died aged 75, from stomach cancer. I've never heard of him myself, but ice hockey isn't exactly big in the UK. He must have been pretty famous though as he's generated more than 250 news obits.
  24. Tempus Fugit

    Jack Nicholson

You're actually asking three questions iain, the second one isn't a question. As Nicholson has no illness that we know about and is only 69 years old, a youngster by DL standards. Then what exactly is the point of this thread?
  25. Tempus Fugit

    Not Exactly Famous...

Dennis Brookes, so obscure nobody has even bothered to update his Wiki page with his death, and some water polo player. There is a thread called "Not exactly famous but worth a mention", I'm not sure this pair even qualify for that.
