If you want speaking talent most announcers aren't where it's at. If anyone is a fan of WWE "World Wrestling Entertainment" they would notice that Jim Ross makes many mistakes as he commentates. One of my overall favorites would be Vin Scully who calls most of the LA Dodger games in the MLB. Don't listen to him much at all but he has a very unique voice. The Five greatest sports commentators as far as I'm concerned are, Eddie Waring, Dan Maskell, Brian Johnston, David Coleman and John Motson
