So they are saying that he doesn't wake up every day any more- when my Dad got to that point, he only lasted a couple of weeks, tops- keep an eye out, Jimmy Carter is not long for this world

I just saw this on Youtube- it's Jimmy Carter's Grandson, doing an update- he says that he thinks that Jimmy Carter's life is winding down- we shall see I guess!

It sure was a big deal here! My husband and I watched the trial every day- and he was very upset because he was sure they were going to acquit him- and so he was, several months after my husband died of lung cancer. Wherever Mike is, I hope he knows that OJ Simpson finally got his- they have been stoking the fires for him for a long time!

This showed up on CBS Sunday Morning today- looks like he is still fighting- but how much longer can he go?

I know that most of you have probably not heard of this guy, but Peter Schickele died today, a hilarious composer of phony- and funny- music sort of in the style of JS Bach- he claimed to have found this guy, the youngest and oddest of JS Bach's 20-odd children. Anyway, sorry if I am breaking any rules, but he was well known here in the United States by nerdy people like me, so I thought I would mention it-

His sitcoms were highly entertaining, but also making important observations about the Society we live in- made many people a lot more aware of life as it is for the whole spectrum- really influenced a lot of Americans in particular- I bet he's not as popular with Republicans though!

I still think Jimmy Carter. although he may be trying to make it through Christmas

I suppose Jimmy Carter is next in line

Yeah he would have to survive until next October- I doubt he'll make it that long, sadly.

I think he will skip Mr. Kissinger's funeral!

Wow, I can't believe how long it took for me to get here- there must be a lot of people coming on! Really funny, but I was thinking of Kissinger last night, expecting him to die soon, and there it is!!!! Well, if Henry could make it to 100, surely Jimmy Carter can too- honestly though, I don't think he will. I wonder if Nixon was there to meet him when he showed up- in whatever place!

I think it's going to be private, just the family.

He is oxygen starved- he wanted to be there to support Rosalynn and now that she is gone he has no reason to stay- he will be gone very soon

I'm watching that too- more than pale, he looks like he is at death's door! Not even sure if he is conscious. I will not be surprised if he dies before the week is out! I strongly recommend that if he is still alive on January 1st, you make him number one on the list- but I don't expect it!

That really was quick, a VERY short time on Hospice. So sorry to see her gone, I think Jimmy will follow very quickly!

So now Matthew Perry- does it seem to any of you that the last few weeks a rather unusual number of TV actors and popular musicians have died?? It just seems like a lot all of a sudden to me!

I would be really upset if she had ever run for President, she would have been terrible-

About time for her to cash out- she was just keeping the seat warm for a long time- not even that, since she hasn't been showing up for work, and a lot of people wanted her to retire and get somebody in who is younger, more energetic, and capable. I really thought she would go next year- but she has surprised us all!

He was great in The King's Speech as George V- also showed up as narrator in several very good films- but I really liked him in Quartet- An excellent actor who will be missed

In Prince Philip's case, he said he kind of dreaded turning 100- he definitely did not want to celebrate his 100th birthday- so he got his wish! I bet he died with a smile on his face!
