If she's the same Rose Marie that treads the boards as a lighweight country singer she's aged amazingly well! Think you mean the rather more buxom husky irish lass with the big red hair! She did a few stints on the quiz show "3-2-1" VIENNA xxxxx

The disease that Mr Spencer has is called Myasthenia Gravis. My friend was diagnosed with the disease about 2 years ago.... it affects the more unknown organ the "THYMUS" which my friend has had removed. Not sure about John's though?? There is no known cure for this disease but I think he is more likely to be taken by the cancer than MG. He was parachuting out of a plane for charity about 2 months ago and seemed to be enjoying life. Maybe he hasnt potted his last black ball just yet! VIENNA xxxxx

"It's three years since musician Chris Rea defied one-in-five odds by surviving surgery to remove his pancreas and duodenum (leaving him with diabetes in the process), partially cut his stomach, re-attach his intestines, draw four new bile ducts from his liver and re-site his lungs." This is a quote from a website I found.... 3 years with the insides like Frankensteins monster, he then went on to claim he has never felt better in his life... Down to 11 stone from 15 stone .... (that will be the very heavy pancreas & duodenum). I think he's a brave chappy but I do think he's living on borrowed time.... VIENNA xxxxx

Speaking of Mr Van Dyke.... Did you know that Lionel Jeffries who played his father in Chitty Chitty Bang Bang was actually a month or so younger than him... oh yes I think he is still very much alive too........ And the most anoying thing about Diagnosis Murder is if you are called Van Dyke then you get a part in the new series....... think the dog Rover Van Dyke played a part once too!!!??? Regards VIENNA xxxxx

Has anyone mentioned George Best..... his liver is already buried, think the rest of him will follow in 2005 or 2006? Regards, Vienna xxxxx -
Just too say that when I first heard of Mr Barkers demise I was on a bus earwigging into other peoples conversations.... left me with a bit of a tear in my eye. I didnt like him as a duo with Corbett but his Fletcher & Arkwright will live on as class comedy. Goodbye to one of the legends of comedy. Sleep well Ronnie. Regards, Vienna xxx

According to the "Carry On" website this is how many each of the ones you mentioned have appeared in a "Carry On" film Kenneth Williams (25) he has appeared in the most. Charles Hawtrey (23) Sid James (19) and the most popular lady was Joan Sims with 24 films. Babs Windsor has only done 9 films and whats harder to believe that Sid James did 10 "Carry On" movies without her! Just gonna check how many Norman did without Edward Chapman! VIENNA

I always found Normans films overly sentimental for my tastes. I much prefer Will Hay, or even George Formby. Two more classic performers and very good comedic actors there films are also classics but I was brought up on Danny Kaye and Norman Wisdom films. Seen Norman in Panto he was a hit with all the kiddies in the audience. Love the "Carry On" films too.... Not many of them left either to put on the list. I heard that Patsy Rowlands passed away at the start of 2005. OOOOerrr Missus! VIENNA

Hey Tempus, Irritating people tend to live longest.... so I am told, therefore in theory people like Nicholas Parsons, Margaret Thatcher and Jade Goody will all hit triple figures! Scary thought... VIENNA -

I am a new member to this site and would just like to add that it has some strange attraction to me. My workmates think I am morbid and when a celeb dies they say tongue in cheek "was they on your list"!! Curiously I laugh and say how interesting it is and how much information this site actually gives out. I hope to begin posting more in the near future and just say to all who find this site by accident, have an open mind it's the one thing in life that is certain.... DEATH! I found this site looking for stuff on my hero Sir Norman Wisdom, at first shocked I then began to realise that you do this with some humour & respect as in the case of James Doohan. Regards VIENNA
