    The Dead Of 2012

Technically died in 2012, but that thread is locked. John Sheardown, a Canadian immigration officer who saved the lives of 6 American diplomats during the Iranian hostage crisis, has died at the age of 88.

    Discuss The 2013 Deathlist

Ah I see it now. I really like this years list. Only one name I've never heard of (Parsons), and a lot of good picks (Kalashnikov, Chavez, Winner, Cecil, James, Stan Lee, Nolan, Presley, Bush). Pretty much everyone on here has a decent chance of not living to 2014.

I agree. I was able to find this, but the names aren't posted yet.

    Hugo Chavez

Worst Case Scenario: He dies on the 31st, but his death doesn't get reported until the 1st of January, thereby screwing both by 2012 and 2013 DDP entries.

I missed duPont (Why they have her in over, say, George McGovern, Maurice Sendak, or Junior Seau I'll never know.) and Rick Majerus (Knew who he was, just not what he looked like.)

Who Should Be On The 2013 Deathlist?

Final Suggestion for Me: George Bush - If he even makes it to January 1st. Bob Dole - Weak by all accounts, would be a spectacular miss if not on 2013. Luise Rainer - 2-Time Oscar Winner, over 100, I don't know why she hasn't been on the list before. Prince Philip - Would be one of the biggest deaths of the year, ill health, can't afford to miss. Mikhail Kalashnikov - Ill health, fairly recognizable. Joan Fontaine - Her sister has been a mainstay for a while now, why not her? Sir Henry Cecil - To keep the list from being a bunch of 85+ random picks. Hugo Chavez - See above, and to go with the World Leader theme that everyone seems to be pushing for. Jimmy Carter - Why not? Taken Off: Harper Lee - Rumors of ill health were exaggerated, likely to live a few more years. James Randi - Questionable fame, very little health problems Tariq Aziz - Not that famous, execution has no set date. Saif al-Islam Gaddafi - Sort of a shady pick, trial is unpredictable. Ariel Sharon - Is apparently getting healthier, and has a 24 squad of doctors to keep him from dying. Fats Domino - Reportedly much healthier than he was circa-Hurricane Katrina Hosni Mubarak - Health problems greatly exaggerated to keep him from seeing justice. Nigel Lawson - Fairly young and fairly healthy. Much better candidates can replace him.

    Derby Dead Pool 2013

Interesting - why Borgonovo and Nolan - I would've said they are pretty strong candidates? I've got 16 of my 20 locked in, so I've got space for last minute entries and to weigh up between Nolan, Buell, Presley and Talabani... They certainly are strong candidates, but not as strong as the people I replaced them with. Borgonovo is currently one of my alts, due to the death of Andrew Andre.
