Hi Captain Chorizo Just noticed that I had Matt Capotelli in at number 5 on my list but it's been missed in the update. Cheers, GUN.

Are you Alan Partridge?

I wonder what the record is for survival following being given the last rites? At 42 years Lauda must be up near the top of the pile if not at the very top. EDIT: JFK beats him with 43 years based on this article

Death And The Scrabble Deficit
Grim Up North replied to DevonDeathTrip's topic in DeathList extra-curricular
If he was 70 and his Scrabble score is 46 then I think possibly this thread is already a little complicated for you? And yes I agree with you regarding the second point but virtually every Pole that dies will hit the Scrabble deficit as Z is only worth 1 point in Polish Scrabble as it is such a popular letter. -
Death And The Scrabble Deficit
Grim Up North replied to DevonDeathTrip's topic in DeathList extra-curricular
Firstly we need to know how old he was when he died to know the deficit. Secondly I think for foreign people you should have to use the Scrabble scores for their nationality. - for example k in Icelandic scrabble is only worth 2 points not 5 points as in UK Scrabble.Scrabble points different countries -
The irony though if she died in a plane crash!

If she died next year could they squeeze in a '20' in front or above the 19?
-
No actually I mistakenly thought you were claiming 85 points in Shauns Death By Numbers and that you had got the rules wrong - as soon as I had written it I realised I was in the Windy Pool and so deleted my comment and added my apologies for being an idiot. Plus she was born in 1914 not 1915 so my comment was even more idiotic.

EDIT: Sorry comment for wrong pool

Yep a shaky basis for selecting on your teams.

I voted Gena Rowlands for all the same reasons. Off to google now to see who I've staked my splodge on. EDIT: Ah she's an actress who according to this article Peter Falk Remembered by Gena Rowlands was able to remember Peter Falk - I'm sure there is a joke in there somewhere.

I've been to see two episodes of Pointless being filmed as one of our favourite TV shows. One of more disappointing experiences of my life. All the on screen stuff between Xander and Richard suggested a couple of big pals who would spend all day happily laughing together a bit like I imagine David Baddiel and Frank Skinner would. In actual fact at every break in filiming they totally ignored each other and went to opposite sides of the studio to look at the messages on their phones. Filming was really slick and formulaic mind - they probably got the full 45 minute show filmed in little over an hour. My mother in law was on the original 15 to 1 - she was shit.

Or Cliff the guitar?

Yep a photo with Jimmy Savile not great for your reputation. Oh and then there's this one?????????

I'm not really an F1 fan but I'm going for Niki Lauda finishing 4th in the 1976 Italian Grand Prix just six weeks after being burnt alive in his car at Nuremburg. From Wikipedia 'Lauda returned to race only six weeks (three races) later, appearing at the Monza press conference with his fresh burns still bandaged. He finished fourth in the Italian GP, despite being, by his own admission, absolutely petrified. F1 journalist Nigel Roebuck recalls seeing Lauda in the pits, peeling the blood-soaked bandages off his scarred scalp. He also had to wear a specially adapted AGV crash helmet so as to not be in too much discomfort.'

Haha - yes just seen that. Perhaps the Jimmy Savile gag was closer to the truth than we realised!

World Cup predict the scores 2018
Grim Up North replied to Paul Bearer's topic in DeathList extra-curricular
Thanks. I'n so fantastic, I'm the best, So much better than all the rest! Bragging over thanks very much for running Paul as previously said and only 11 predictions right out of 64 games and I won, no wonder the bookies make so much money! And Joey of course it's not a dead pool unless I got the rules wrong I was guessing how many goals would be scored by each team not how many would die! -
World Cup predict the scores 2018

If he hadn't gone for 1-1 then there wouldn't have been Extra Time or Pens so he gets the points for me. Redrumours will be along soon to pour bile and acid on such a namby pamby suggestion
