Fidel has taken a final bow it seems. A clealy frail and unsteady Fidel Castro has handed over all remaining powers to his brother Raul in an 'emotional' and probably final appearance on the world stage. It's ironic that one of the 'younger' cast members drafted in , Trevor Bannister has dropped dead while the oldies like Frank Thornton and Peter Sallis shuffle on!

That's all but 2 gone now.Only Nicholas Smith and Frank Thornton survive Trevor Bannister is also a loss to the cast of Last of the Summer Wine.I'm sure I saw a thread for that show somewhere but I'm damned if I can find it!

Interesting to note that there are about 50 women still alive who were born in the 19th century but only one man.Women really do live longer!

It amuses me that they say they dont know what's wrong with him.He's 114 and a half years old, making him the 3rd oldest man who has ever lived and the oldest american male who has ever lived.I think it might just be his 'time to go' somehow... He's noty sick any more. he's dead
