Hiya, i worked as a trader at the time. Nick leeson was a major scape goat for the downfall of the bank. There were so many more people involved in a huge racket like that-it cannot be possible for it to work solo. Nick was the boxing eqivelant of a taking a dive (he knew prison was coming).
