Gone with Mr Brasilia too, though my hit rate isn't very good, so that'll probably mean he'll survive the year
-
Even better that Sevco lost to Stirling Albion tonight as well

This might not necessarily be the best idea I've ever had but I'll throw it out there - how about a public vote to decide the 50th place? The Clive Dunn Memorial Poll. Could include various improbables like O'Sullivan, Ozzy, Keith Richards and De Cesaris to take the Clive Dunn spot for a year

I definitely voted for MacNee. Guess some votes have been lost -
98 and 03 look like being the most likely to be first to go completely

Which Hughes? Surely not Geoffrey? What about when Jade Goody died? Surely that would've been pretty high

It'll have to come over time. It's not something you can impose. But yeah, there's only one Clive Dunn If there's one guy on the list that's closest to the Dunn role, it's Biggs

Whodathunk it would would be Clive Dunn? Well, technically 1 person did

Yeah, they're pretty notorious for that kind of thing - they made a total mess of Pocahontas and the original Hercules story as well (and there are probably loads of others), not to mention The Lion King being daylight robbery from Kimba the White Lion I was at Disney World this summer, for the first time since I was a kid. It really is a hollow place. I guess the kids enjoy it but going there isn't going to change your life. That being said, the Star Wars ride there is OK

"Mr McCullough, from Portstewart, County Londonderry, is one of the best known guitarists in the world" He is?

I've never seen any of the Pirates films but TPM is a dreadful mess of bad dialogue and an incomprehensible plot RedLetterMedia's Plinkett reviews of the prequels are brilliant, much better than the films themselves: http://www.redlettermedia.com/plinkett/star-wars/

Oh I'm well aware of that. Was meaning more that it's going to carry on like that
-
You got a link? Twitter and its endless post-grads half-arsedly spouting his maxims brings up nothing. Someone on my course was trying to get him to come and talk at Warwick (rather optimistically) and that is what he was told. I'll see if he's got more info

I hear Slavoj Zizek has cancelled his engagements for the next 5 months due to illness

I don't understand why Star Wars fans are objecting to Disney in particular, other than the new films will inevitably be packed full of characters that are easily turned into action figures. However, I'm pessimistic about whether these new films will be any good, and especially the idea that they're just going to keep making them every couple of years. But at least Lucas won't be in charge

This Camilla-is-the-evil-stepmother thing has been going a while - a similar story (minus the dying bit) was on the front cover of another of these rags when I was out in the States in June, saying how she was plotting to persuade Liz to name Charles as her successor instead of William. It's obviously the narrative they think Americans will understand

Depends on if she's telling the full truth about all the tumours shrinking with this treatment. Having had personal experience of hearing the "not curable but manageable" deal, it doesn't sound great. Think I might stick her in - might be more likely than Liz Dawn, and worth more points This is actually quite sad

Looks like he was ill in the same way that Chavez was definitely going to die before the election

That conspiracy theory about Hillsborough being covered up by the police, the media and the government - ha, yeah right, as if... ...oh

Another video of him here at the race

Former South Africa international and assistant coach Thomas Madigage has died at 41 after his car hit a stray donkey This obit talks of him having "played for" Rangers and Manchester City Seems as if he liked wearing this hat too

Question is how many DDP points is he going to be worth if he does make it to 2013 - his 70th birthday is 11th January
