http://www.rollingstone.com/music/news/clyde-stubblefield-james-browns-funky-drummer-dead-at-73-w467805 Rolling Stone confirms if you need a wider read publication? Daily Mail for the DDP: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/wires/ap/article-4238324/James-Browns-Funky-Drummer-Clyde-Stubblefield-dies-73.html Wow, he could have been an expensive deadpool gamble. My first Unique Pick after 6 years, finally ! How about "Funky Drummer" ?

Peace at last, a damning indictment of modern medicine. 2017 team edit #1

Uh, he looks like Jon Voight, who is 31 years older than him. He appears to be rocking the Gorbachev look now too..... a classic. But obviously he's still mostly Yeltsin at heart. he doesn't look well, and he may be down before the Christmas decorations, but damn you for sending me to daily mail. my eyes !

Coincidentally I watched a couple of episodes of "Second Thoughts", with LB, James Bolam and Julia Sawalha. Really pretty good show, and she was very amusing in it. shame she's gone so soon...especially since she had top billing in my team for next year. In the nicest possible way, hoping for the rugby world to be in mourning for two World Cup winners. Also, Lindsay Lohan may suffer a Spiderman style exit stage left...

Wanted to like this but it's a guest. Horrible, horrible man. Normally this level of vitriol is reserved for child murderes, dictators, reality TV stars and Margaret Thatcher. He killed football

I'm ready to blow a whistle when his 80 years of life have elapsed... As the grains of Nicholas Parsons' life drain away, once more it is our pleasure to welcome our many readers, not only in this country but throughout the world

Agree that it's harder than one would expect, but a potential headline for your consideration ... "Our Father" who art in Heaven, Mandela be thy name.

What a great link, some stupendous quotes ; The staffers themselves filed a number of police reports over the year the club was open, two of them drug-related. According to one, on July 16, 2011, a girl from Lewisville had taken two hits of acid and "was having a negative reaction to the drug." She was taken by ambulance to Parkland. Two weeks later, a staffer reported that while she was searching the bags of people entering the club, she found "a large plastic baggie containing what is believed to be hallucinogenic mushrooms." The would-be mushroom-taker told the staff "he forgot he had them." He grabbed his bag and fled westbound on Northwest Highway. He was riding a green motorcycle and wearing a Superman costume. ..and... "The media made it out to be a sex-infested, drug-infested underground rave club that was run by a pedophile and raver kids who didn't give a damn," he says now. His voice rises a little. "That's bullshit. Yes, there were drugs. Yes, Tommy is a pedophile. But there was a deeper purpose, a deeper meaning, a deeper connection. This wasn't just something we did on weekends. This was our life." Worth a read !

Die de Hi! Farewell to Paul McShane who looked like a coach driver and Steve McLaren's seedy older brother.

Why would you say that, he has been keeping me waiting for a little while now !

Gutted, Storm was a funny man with a unique talent. Plus I didn't pick him. Vale.
-
Don't forget that Norman Collier also did a convincing impersonation of a cock.

What a great thread, and I really should be thinking next year about favourites who are reaching ... a certain age. Love the music, but their activities back in the day don't do them any favours on actuarial tables.

Of course there is another singer born in 1959, whose sexual proclivities have long been the source of speculation and has over the years displayed an unhealthy interest in Glam Rock, child murderers and the Royal family... It's time that the tale were told, of how you took a child and you made him old. Thanks for running the DDP by the way, Dead Of Night is one of my favourite films. I was thinking of calling my team "Room for one more inside". Anyway, that's enough crawling !

The only drawback would be that I'd be unable to post from home until I sort out the mess that's screwing up my browsers. For some reason I can log on via FireFox, but can't post and can't log on via I.E. but can post as a guest. I forget what's screwed up with Mozilla. And to make matters worse, DL is the only site that seems to be affected by this issue. Chrome ? all the IP Board forums that I frequent seem fine.

When Parsons does finally pass on, do you reckon he'll have instructed his eulogy to be delivered for exactly one minute without repetition, deviation, or hesitation? His funeral will be broadcast "Live from Norwich" And not just to the United Kingdom, but to all the listeners around the world. Whilst your reply wasn't strictly accurate, since the audience enjoyed it so much I will give you a "Like".

Hugo-ing, going, gone. Should have moved him to my Joker, curses !

Comes across as a nice man and very energetic, but maybe we won't have to wait 'til 2013 for the one time Viscount Stansgate to appear.
-
What's the team name? "Song To The Siren" I'm in, thanks = ) listening to the radio today, both Nelson Mandela and Stephen Hawking are described as "frail", neither on my team. curses !

Long time lurker, first time enterer. Hoping my team got in ! If not, I will be keeping notes on any time I notice someone looking frail on tv. Congratulations to The Man In Black for his hard work.
