J.B was in an old people’s home for the past year . I saw a FB group earlier for Portishead ( where he lived ) and locals saying he’d looked dreadful for the last 2/3 years . RIP Johnny .

Hearing that Gerry Marsden of Gerry & The Pacemakers fame died on 26 Dec 2020.

Sutcliffe. He’s apparently refusing medical treatment for his illness which makes me wonder if he’s a member of this group ?

In terms of name recognition Mark E Smith is clearly a less well-known lead vocalist than John Wetton - lead singer of Asia and Asia was a band known Worldwide . But Wetton was rejected from the 2017 list and as a result Deathlist missed out having 18 deaths in 2017 !

Biggest omission from the 2017 list is John Wetton of Asia/King Crimson/UK etc. Here's his latest statement "January 11th 2017--- A PERSONAL STATEMENT FROM JOHN WETTON I am disappointed to announce that, on the advice of my medical team, I have to withdraw from Cruise to the Edge, and from the first leg of the Journey tour, March 15 - April 4. One of my musical heroes, John Wetton lead singer of Asia / King Crimson /UK etc , ex-Roxy Music bassist has been fighting cancer throughout 2016. He married his girlfriend in November and Asia have an USA tour scheduled with Journey. However his recent Christmas photo on twitter and November wedding photo on twitter suggests it may be a short tour. He should sadly definately be on the list for 2017

I wouldnt choose Jim Bowen as a 2016 pick as this is the latest on his website - Very latest!!!
