Yes it would be an extremely inopportune moment I can think of different way to argue this. If @Summer in Transylvania had been in possession of Rolf as a pick on 10th of May it would be a lot easier to adjudicate on. I am impressed how well the family kept a lid on this and there was no concrete evidence that Rolf was dead when the round started the other day

I think that everything that is left is park of the UK cultural background (especially for people of my age) if they came on the radio you could happily hum along to it without necessarily being able to name the track or the artist

    The Joker's Dead Pool 2023

I thought someone in the LGBT+ community should have given them some recognition but I suppose they were too early, too subtle and performed material written by Gyles Brandreth. He was a unique DDP pick though I did love the fact that I discovered that at an early review they performed at Peggy Ashcroft did not realise they were a drag act and thought they were genuinely two elderly lesbians

    Morrissey

Morrissey and Marr wrote some songs for Kirsty McColl which are surprisingly upbeat but when you listen to them you can detect the sense of The Smiths in there.

    Dead Pop Stars

I remember watching a video retrospective of the Eighties shown in New Year 1990 and they asked music journalists to nominate the most influential and most overrated acts of the decade. Only The Smiths appeared in the top five of both lists. Which I think sums them up pretty well.

    The deaD of 2023

I would actually disagree. The biggest problem with it is that it is not A Fish Called Wanda which everyone seemed to want but they should no enough of Cleese that he would not just do the same thing again. It is a enjoyable ensemble piece and there are some very good lines "My parents bought me a puppy...... I just didn't get it"

    Celebrity Graves

I was with Mrs Biblio who wasn't going to look kindly on me taking random headstone pictures. She already thinks my family are "the sort of people who put the fun in funeral" so I didn't want to give her any more ammo. The Grave is actually on the far side of the Cathedral which is also the resting place of Humphrey, Duke of Gloucester and St Alban
