Kill or Save: UK No.1-hits of the 80s

I think there is a Frankie problem with this list (and I do not mean the Sister Sledge track) I can see all three failing to qualify unless there is a consensus that The Power of Love is the only one worth saving

Whilst I won't be riding in on a charger to save it I actually think that the Stevie Wonder song is actually really effective and does what it says on the tin. Harsh for it to go early

Kill or Save: UK No.1-hits of the 80s

Three of my initial five survived. Madness, Bonnie Tyler & Men At Work. Adam Ant and Phil Collins failed to make the grade. However I don't dislike the other remaining songs. I have picked my five for the next round but there is quite a lot of good stuff but there are things that need to die quickly and not just the Invasion of the charity singles.

Dustin Gee is always very helpful in explaining to the younger generation who cannot understand why Les Dennis is famous. Dennis was a better impressionist but Gee had better comic timing

Two of the five I picked out at the beginning of the round have been eliminated. The other three are still in the Top 5 of my reserve list only one is still in play but there is nothing here that I really dislike only shades of preference

House of Fun is absolutely iconic and was hilariously Number 1 during Pope John Paul II visit to the UK Only You is the only Vince Clarke track to make it to No.1 during the 80's Give It Up is upbeat if nothing else

In the last round I was upvoting Ashes to Ashes but this song is not particularly special. For me he is a bit hit and miss I love Life on Mars, Ashes to Ashes, Space Oddity, Underground, The Man Who Sold the World Let's Dance and China Girl are just a bit meh but I loathe Absolute Beginners
