I am going to be around less between now and the New Year so I am going to introduce the residual continuation game for the 1921 births who will not be included in the 20/20 + 2 game The following 22 names are eligible for selection but the champion of the 20/20 + 1 game will get first pick. In this game you are looking for who will survive longest. The champion cannot select until they have been declared (1st Jan) and once the champion has picked it will be a free for all. Picks will be allowed until either all the names are gone or the first eligible pick dies. The picks will be then locked in and the game can dwindle to its natural conclusion. The residual 20/20 game is still going. You do not have to have participated in 20/20 + 1 to play the residual game 1921 Residuals 1. Hans Albert 2. Iris Apfel 3. Bill Butler 4. George Elder 5. Sir Anthony Epstein 6. Phillippe de Gaulle 7. Francois Gilot 8. Al Jaffee 9. Agnes Keleti 10. Elizabeth Kelly 11. Elizabeth Kirkby 12. Phyllis Latour 13. Ray Lawler 14. Hazel McCallion 15. Walter Mirisch 16. Francisco Morales-Bermudez 17. Wanda Poltawska 18. Francesc Gra Salas 19. Betty Reid Soskin 20. Dan Tolkowsky 21. Charley Trippi 22. Evelyn Witkin I may need to update this list before NYD if any subsequently die

In the result of a tie the average age of hits will be taken with the younger picks winning (Deadpooling equivalent of the safety car)

I think that is harsh on Toyah Muse of Derek Jarman, narrator of beloved children's shows and in her way possibly an iconic representation of where punk fused into pop in the early eighties More people would lisp along to Its A Mystery than join in a King Crimson sing-a-long

@Annami now only has a two point lead to last two weeks and there have already been four hits in December

Who Should Make the Deathlist in 2022?
Bibliogryphon replied to The Old Crem's topic in DeathList Forum
We have lost two biggies in Prince Phillip and Bob Dole but I am not sure who are going to be the lingerers to replace them. If they stick with QEII it is possible she could still be here in five years time but I am not sure who is going to be the long term picks who are on almost everyone's lists. Jimmy Carter and Leslie Phillips seem likely -

That was the name that stood out for me. Peron probably is but unless there is compelling evidence for the others then I think they might be lost in a sea of more familiar names -

Feeling a bit bad about this now. My wife has had her vinyl Mike Nesmith albums on ebay for over a year and we sold one in all that time. We have now had two bids in a week

I had to edit my entry as @CaptainChorizo had nicked John Woodvine

Hodder & Stoughton but I did check their website and she was not listed on their author list but there were writers who were long dead listed there so I suspect she is Out of Print I did copy them in on an enquiry on Twitter but got nothing back -

ROMANTIC NOVELLISTS AWARD FOR BEST NOVEL Ten Earliest recipients who are not confirmed dead 1975 Jay Allerton (Frances Paige) (b.????) 1978 Catherine Macarthur 1979 Katherine Gordon (b.1916) 1980 Joanna Trollope (b.1943) 1985 Rosie Thomas (Janey King) (b.1947) 1988 Audrey Howard (b.1929) 1989 Sarah Woodhouse (b.1950) 1991 Susan Kay (b.1952) 1993 Cynthia Harrod-Eagles (b.1948) 1994 Elizabeth Buchan (b.1948) Only one solid obit name on there and considering how little information there is about the top three this may not be fertile pastures for Deadpooling -
If the Conservatives lose the North Shropshire By-Election there will be a lot of jittery Conservative MPs who are sitting on slender majorities who feel that the more they are whipped into clearly appalling decisions (which are often U-turned on later) will be building up ammunition for their electoral enemies whenever the election is called. North Shropshire should be a safe leave voting seat so its loss will be huge. Next Friday could be a crunch day
