Political Discussions And Ranting Thread

The Tory Party has always been a coalition between the One-Nation group and the more moneterist Thatcherites. However all the One-Nation Tories have been purged from the party and been replaced with Far Right disaster capitalists. I could respect people like Heseltine and Clarke Even if I disagreed with them but I feel the current grouping would happily see The destruction of the country if they or their friends could make a quick buck out of it -
Bill Freehan is a hit in the Baseball category for four players @gcreptile & @An Fear Beag get their first hits @Death Impends gets a second hit in a second category and defending champion @Banana gets his fourth hit in three categories drawing him joint level with @Perhaps

Whilst I am in no way defending Prince Andrew when you say The British Tax Payer will be paying this it is not as though any extra money will be going on it. The Queen will find it out of the vast sums she has including the civil list.

The stupid flares are the worst bit. I watched some at my Father-in-law's and he watches with the sound turned off so once you have deciphered the graphics there is a lot of useful information there. I was concerned by the junk food sponsorship of the kits -

@Dying Probablygets their first hit with Patricia Hitchcock -
I do not check every entry but players are at their own risk. If the obit has a different year of birth to that which has played the point is not awarded. This has happened several times in the past both Pearl Carr and Teddy Johnson failed to score for this reason

Napolitano for me please

Thatcher only went for the job when Keith Joseph withdrew after the cycle of depravity speech.
-
If he can get the top job before then he essentially installs an expendendable puppet chancellor whose sole job is to take the flack.
-
Fortunately I think his recent separation from Lady Macbeth has put paid to any ambition in that direction

That was 2016
-
One of the reasons he did not stand in 2016 was that he felt he would not have sufficient support amongst the parliamentary Conservative party. Those who allowed his name to go on the ballot in 2019 took a cynical approach but he probably does not have a vast amount of support amongst his colleagues.
-
Thatcher would not have campaigned to leave the EU.
