Even my fairly homophobic father-in-law (he still uses the term puffter in a derogatory sense) recognises that the media frenzy around Schofield seems excessive considering the actual facts that are in the public domain at the moment and expressed sympathy for him.

I think his return might be by stealth. Maybe an invitation to appear as a guest presenter on something like The One Show - it will be a massive pay cut but he does come across as quite likeable unlike Willoughby who appears to think anyone presented to her (especially "the public") have just crawled out of a drain

I am pretty sure there will be a book deal in the next few months

I hope Diego got a gift he liked and also took the opportunity to like the gifts he had been given for all his previous birthdays

I was cross referencing my list with the list on Wikipedia in which he is not included I am none too fussed about excluding him it is not as though he is going to be forgotten about
-
Technically he is no longer a member of the Privvy Council as they advise the King.
-
This list is now down to 15 individuals John Morris Roy Hattersley Bill Rodgers David Own Ian Sinclair David Steel Norman Fowler Michael Heseltine Terence Higgins David Howell Michael Jopling Tom king James McKay John Nott Sally Oppenheim Barnes There are another seven who by the end of the year will have served for 40 years Just thinking this could be a good Scavenger Hunt category
-
Just updating this list to note that three have now gone it has taken five years but two have gone in the last 12 months Donald Sutherland, Bill Oddie or Ken Livingstone could easily be the next one

I actually think the next round is going to be really tough. There are about 28 that pass the toe tapper test but I suspect two of my faves will be cast out quite quickly through either lack of exposure or over exposure -

I have just done my listen of the ones that I do not recognise by title alone. I am astonished at some of the ones that have gone unpunished by downvotes when you have already binned Eleanor Rigby -

Considering that Holmes is providing his 'truth' to GB News an outlet that struggles with that concept I am highly sceptical and I also do not think he is an impartial commentator as his wife's show is clearly caught up in the ITV shit storm
-
In this vicious war between ITV daytime presenters Holly Willoughby, Philip Schofield and Eamonn Holmes it is difficult to know who to cheer for but I vaguely remember a discussion on here about how PS achieved his career breakthroughs and one could argue that he is just acting on how the industry works. I am also confused why this is news now as I thought that when he came out the relationship was revealed what has happened since to make this suddenly so important
