I am coming down on the side of his inclusion. People like Brian Cant and Tony Hart would have been acceptable inclusions and I has Ann Emery drafted in to one of my DDP for next year until her fortunate demise. If Casey Casem can be on the list then I think SKS can be as well. My wife worked in a preschool and Lazy Town was enormously popular among the children.
We should not succumb to generational prejudice if the heroes of of our childhood TV are worthy of inclusion then so are those of later generations.
ps does anyone know any health/career information on Adrian Hedley?

Actually, I've seen it on nickelodeon when they had there educational time for the little ones.I looked up some clips of lazytown, cause I wanted to see what the show was like, and surprisingly (to me at least) I actually seen the show before. I knew nothing about the actors of course, but I have seen the show.
So do the BBC export their kids shows to the US. I thought that sewer just contained one way traffic.
Clearly to little effect.

I am not going to quote your whole list but Mary Berry stands out as someone who I think had many years left in her. Observation not criticism. Good luck.

Brinson... Multimillionaire and pro poker player.
Married a wifie aff the telly (who was 'meh').
He was better known in certain circles than she was.
If you type his name into Wiki you end up on her page.

But if he got a bj when she was 15 , in this climate, he would shut up shop.
Wouldn't he, Bob?
BG.... BiblioGryphon. Bob Geldof
The only time I have been to Ireland was when I changed planes at Dublin Airport.

Too many nonentities spoils the game for me. Candidates should have a reasonable claim to fame or achievement - aside from fundraising or blogging about their illnesses, or merely being related to someone who does have such a claim.
All relative Toastie.
I don't have telly , so someone like Bracknell is a total nonentity.
Yet Monty Brinson this year wasn't.
No, I don't think it's relative (I see what you did there!)
Leah Bracknell is an actress who was in a very popular programme. That's a fact whether you or I watched it or not.
Same goes for this Stefan Stefansson, whoever he is. I never heard of him or Lazy Town, but I accept it was a popular programme watched by many over a number of years.
Remind me again who Monty Brinson was. Ex-husband of someone who had been in a reality show, was it? Doesn't tick the fame box for me, not unless he had some notable achievements of his own.
The way I look at it is that I have my own eligibility standards and I only play picks that meet them. I have still had a fair few uniques which I did not expect to get Gareth Thomas, David Jenkins and George Weidenfeld. I am probably not going to win the DDP but I am doing quite well in other games.
Not the Hare's Deadpool though.

He always came across a bit Gladiator for me.
'Husband of a murdered wife, father to a murdered daughter, I WILL have my revenge'.
And this was 20 years after Banana Republic.
And wasn't Paula @15 in that taxi in Paris ?
I thought he was extremely dignified after Paula Yates' death especially when all the press were crawling all over the where is Michael Hutchence money. When interviewed he point blank refused to be drawn into any criticism of Paula and struck me as a man who still had strong feelings for her.

Deathray is listed as an inactive member on Digital Spy; I presume that means banned.

My main advice is to not do what I did in my first DDP year. See that particularly shit team here.
(Still finished above 500 other teams though
)
Nice to see some of those still knocking around these parts

I must admit I am very lucky. My work allows me to visit places that I would never be able to afford to go under my own steam including China, Japan, America, India and numerous European cities.
I am currently staying in a lakeside resort in Ethiopia.
Admittedly I am spending most of the day in a conference but it is very beautiful.
If they can afford to create a lakeside resort they can afford to feed their starving.
The famine in Ethiopia during 1984/5 was a direct result of the actions of the military dictatorship punishing regions that defied them. It did not need to happen hunger was being used as a weapon.
However the current democratically elected Government doesn't have a much better reputation with dealing with civil unrest.
This resort is built by and named for the former Olympic Marathon runner Haile Gebrselassie and is essentially a way of bringing foreign tourists into the country.

I'm very tired and stressed and I have finals today. Apologies
eYou need to change Sheila Sim and Vivean Gray cause they're both dead.
Joey what does the headline say?
I was presenting the evidence that my picks were unlucky not awful. YW has my 2017 team.
DBAD
Good luck. Probably should go and revise.

I am a little disappointed in the performance of my team. I think that it was not a bad team to consider for death in 9-12 months time from this time last year

540 years since the death of the much misunderstood Vlad the Impaler, aged 45.
People kept mistaking him for a small deer

Just been back and read the earliest pages on this thread. I think Canadian Paul called it on the first page.

Just realised I had Peter Vaughan on my 2016 Shadow List. That brings me up to 8 for the year. Better then last year.

Ladies and Gentlemen, seriously no-one picked Jim Prior.
I thought that the house of Lords team would be dropping like flies but you my dear players seem to have blessed your selections with immortality.

I think the boxing day opening is why I have never played this game. What is the closing date for entries?

Then Walter Swinburn...

Its a Rollover

Well, 2016 has taken the great and the good. Maybe 2017 will take the bad, the very bad and the downright nasty. Brady, Peter Tobin, Norman Tebbit....
Josef Fritzl, Thomas Mair, Anders Breivik, Ian Watkins, Ian Huntley, Rolf Harris, Dennis Nilsen...
And what did Norman Tebbit do that was so bad? Did he do anything worse than what the IRA did in the 80s?
I like Tebbit seems a decent enough bloke. An opinionated old buffer but in my eyes he has a grumpy old uncle appeal like Tony Benn Dennis Skinner and Bill Cash.
You weren't there, man, you had to be there to understand.....
His reputation as Thatcher's attack dog was something he never shied away from.

When I have access to twitter again I will. Just really trying to give an example of someone who was a star of children's TV in the past but has faded from public view.
