Terry Pratchett is the only person on the 2014 Deathlist that I have actually met. I went to a couple of signing sessions he did in the late eighties, early nineties he always tried to interact with his fans and was very patient, came across as a nice guy. Most of the Discworld books my wife has are signed but now you can only get signed copies through a particular website.
This is one hit for the list I don't want.

I presume that if someone who has been healthy comes out of a coma the medical staff will have a programme to build them up again. We are approaching 3 months. I originally thought this would over in days.

Had to draw a graph with Schumi's weight loss figures. The hospital has just 44 days to stabilise his condition before he drops below 40kgs. If it's just getting worse at this alarming rate he will crash through 40kg within 19 days.
And, just for Lardy, I'll add that you have the better of me... 34.4...
This game makes me feel better I get 23.4 which (according to the website I used) means I am a healthy weight.
I am now going to eat a biscuit

Neverending Tory
Haha, you little genius.
Er, or you big genius if you're a tall guy, I don't know.
Just shy of 6ft.
Not going to comment on weight.
I presume it is relative you might be a basketball player or Bernie Ecclestone.

Just been announced that the missing plane wreckage has been found and all passengers are dead

Will anyone be trying to get tickets for the Kate Bush gigs?
I was thinking about it but a colleague agreed we should only do it if we can have a time machine and go back and see the 1979 tour.
Can she still sing Wuthering Heights?
I am enjoying the news coverage but a tiny part of me is fearful that if I went I would be disappointed. I probably wouldn't be able to get tickets anyway.

I still can't see any news about this but my sympathy goes out to Trevor and his family if it is true.
A very sad situation all round.

I drove past a estate built aroud 10 years ago and the road name was "Yew Tree Close"
That would be bad news for a lot of 70s celebs.

During the tribute debate in parliament Sir Peter Tapsell reminded all the Deathlisters that he is the only remaining MP to have voted on the 1963 bill allowing Tony Benn to renounce his peerage.

At David Frost memorial service last week most people looked well.
The only person who I thought might be worth keeping an eye on was Andrew Neil.
He looked well rough.

Was thinking that was Kristian Digby but apparently he did it with a plastic bin bag: http://en.wikipedia..../Kristian_Digby
Yep that was the guy. I must have remembered early speculation.
I stand corrected
Better than laying down with a bag on my head corrected which is something else entirely.

So...uhm...yeah...
So, er..... what is that? Just normal recipes by holocaust survivors? Or is it a collection of ingeniously resourceful recipes that will come in really useful if you are ever put into concentration camp(s)? Like how to make a lovely chilli con carne out of just dead rats?
Your guess is as good as mine...although I don't imagine there'd be many ways one could cook watered-down turnip soup and ersatz bread.
Clearly I have got the wrong end of the stick. I thought that was the main ingredient.
Buy now while stocks last.

Today seems to be the day when members of the Deathlist taunt us with their health and new projects.
After Vera Lynn celebrates her birthday with news of a new album Tony Bennett turns up says all modern music is rubbish and his voice has never been better.
What next Wilko Johnson signs up for the next series of Strictly Come Dancing?

Occultist, paranormal researcher, 2000 AD scribbler and the man who taught the (unrelated) Alan Moore how to draw, Steve Moore, dead at 64.
Worked on the early Doctor Who strips when it transferred to being Doctor Who Monthly when Tom Baker was the Doctor.

There was the TV presenter guy who used his remote control sky light.

I am not a massive fan of Mick Jagger, but I do think it is poor form of a number of UK tabloids to print the picture of him at the moment he is told of his long term partners unexpected death.

I think the large peak in the 35-50 age group is for those who have grown sufficiently cynical to have come to terms with the concept of Death but not yet had to buy a bumper pack of In Sympathy cards for all their friends.
However I think this site attracts a special kind of person of all ages.

Looks like the "Birth list" thread will be dormant for a long while.
There bound to have at least one more at some point in the next ten years, just to sure up their branch as the family firms guaranteed line.
I think this type of comment is just to stop the papers over analysing every photo of Kate to determine whether she might possibly be pregnant. The other tactic is to pretend Harry is thinking of getting married.

An interesting little piece of trivia - 1982 is now the oldest Eurovision year with no dead singers.
The sad thing is that one part of my brain can still hum an approximation of the refrain to One Step Further the UK entry in that year by Bardo. The winner A Little Peace by Nicole became the 500th UK No. 1 single.

However this might be a solution to interstellar travel.
Assuming the Timelords don't send Brian Blessed to wipe us out to prevent the spread of this technology.
