No but she's a USAian, brought up in US & SA, so its not likely it would.I'll confess to exhausting a whole pocket pack of tissues during her funeral.
FFS, is her granddaughter hot, or what?
Hadn't noticed.
She's not bad looking, but would you tap her if her voice sounded like her grandmother's?
The more worrying thing is she might have inherited her dad's intelligence.
Somebody should teach her brother some deportment. He was positively sprawled in his seat and started leafing through the order of service during the sermon.

Dennis Healey was elected to parliament in 1952 which I think makes him the only survivor of pre the 1955 election.
This has only been hastily researched so I'm sure the Richard Osman like amongst you will correct me if I am wrong.

Was I the only person who felt physically ill when David Cameron performed the reading?
The profound scripture coming from his smug lardfilled wax face really upset me.

Now that she's in the ground, perhaps the media will start again to cover topics that are, y'know, topical and relevant?
Like the prospect she might come back as a zombie?
Now you're scared.

The last surviving British Gold Medallist of the 1948 Olympic Games in London, David Bond, has died - http://www.falmouthp...avid_Bond_dies/
I see this would be a DDP hit for MPFC - does itv.com count as a valid obit source? If not, then he hasn't - yet - got the required obituary.
If BBC & SKY count why not ITV?
Serious question.

Didn't get too many pointers for future contenders but the person who did look like they might be worth a punt next year would be Douglas Hurd. He looked liked Beaker's grandad.

Just checked her website and whilst it had little to tell me about her current state of health did inform me that she was descended from General Robert E Lee.

Didn't look well in the photo on the BBC funeral coverage

Not sure if anyone is familiar with the series but there is a Reality Show called Splash /Celeberity Splash(shows title differs by country) and every countries various C List Celebs jump off diving boards .
Judging by this clip I think it's only a matter of when not if someone dies on one of these shows. Whoever is on the Us,UK,Australia etc version of this shows cast list in 2014 might be someone to pick next year.
Yes when I heard about the UK version of the show I renamed it Tom Daley Deadly Celebrity Deathdive
Series 1 passed off uneventfully but it has apparently been picked up for a second.
I think the contestents would be pleased to be considered C-list

I see Nelson couldn't be bothered to go to Thatcher's funeral. Some people are just rude.

All Thatcher's suppoerters in the North gather in Leeds city centre to watch the event on a giant TV Screen

A couple more kids authors who may be worth keeping an eye on David McKee (b.1935) who is responsible for Mr Benn, King Rollo and Elmer the Patchwork elephant and Jill Murphy (b.1949) who created The Worst Witch series of books which are about the antics of a girl who goes to a special boarding school for the magically inclined an gets involved in all sorts of adventures.
These were written well before the adventures of a certain boy wizard and are a lot more fun a responsible for the destruction of less trees - I presume she doesn't have very good lawyers or belives in live and let live. She also won awards for her Large family picture books and The Last Noo-Noo.

Radio 4 said Henry would be at the funeral tomorrow.
If he catches the bouquet does that mean he's next?
...... oh sorry apparently that only applies at weddings.

Not sure how the Margaret Thatcher Memorial Museum and Library will go down with many people
She could be remembered as the Irony Lady

Eight of the picks on the 2013 list have not had a post this year.

I am no lover of musicals but all morning I have been singing to myself snatches of "Oh What a Circus" from Evita - some of Tim Rice's lyrics seem so apt to describe Wednesday.
"Demand to be buried like Eva Peron, its quite a sunset and good for the country in a roundabout way we've made the front pages of all the world's papers today"
or
"Falling over ourselves to get all of the misery right"
or
"What kind of Goddess has lived amongst us? How will we ever get by without her?"

Andrew Marr is back on TV for the first time following his major stroke.
Sound advice that man - Keep away from rowing machines.

Noticed that former Magpie presenter Susan Stranks (aged 74) is a unique pick on this year's DDP. Assuming she's with us on 1 Jan, will she be a unique pick next year?
Well it depends doesn't it? The secret ballot nature of DDP means she might not be picked at all, picked by one or, if she announces terminal cancer on December 1st, picked by hundreds!
True, but (apparently) there are some individuals who trawl through all the selected names to identify anyone that they might warrent inclusion in their own coffin dodgers spreadsheet. Therefore increasing the potential for future years pick.

If we are talking Magpie can I just say Christopher Lillicrap. I have no health information but he has a really funny name.

Just a tad biased. Britain was coming out of a WORLD WAR when Attlee was in power, so there's a situational difference. Naturally, there'd be more things to rebuild, and create.
But it is the way he did it, he was given a mandate which he used to its full to rebuild Britain as a fairer society.
The current Government has a mandate to reduce the deficit but they focus on measures that will disproportionally impact on the most vulnerable in society.

English translation UNITED STATES.(United States??? Have we moved?) - Deathlist, is a website that since 1987, deals with "predict" the date of the death of a large number of personalities in the world, and weeks ago, it was reported that Margaret Thatcher would pass away on March 8th.
Year more "successful" on this site was in 2008, which had 14 hits, among the 50 predictions made earlier this year. In this year, hit the target in five opportunities: filmmaker Michael Winner; singer Patty Andrews, Reg Presley, The Troggs's voice and President Hugo Chavez.
Each year, the site publishes a list of 50 names of "candidates" to pass away, based on data provided by the users and the health status of the most important people on the planet.
Among the candidates for this year also include João Havelange, George Bush Sr, Nelson Mandela, Kirk Douglas, Fidel Castro, Jake Lamotta, Stan Lee, Henry Kissinger and Peter O'Toole.
It is interesting to see which of the picks are pulled out by a particular audience as most significant. If I were Peter O' Toole I would be chuffed to bits by being selected in such illustrious company. Apart from the obvious discussion of his impending death.

He is being questioned about a single historic allegation.
Rolf has a history of depression and speculation over his activities I think would be very dangerous either way.
