    I thought you were reading a lot into this until I read the article and the funeral is in Surrey and Bruce is in Surrey - I thought Brucie lived abroad and it was the flight that was stopping him probably but as you say it does seem that 4 months since his operation he is still too ill to go outside.

     

    Either that or secretly he thought Ronnie Corbett was a stunted little cunt! :evil:

     

    I think it is more significant that Lady Forsyth went by herself which mean he wanted someone to be at Ronnie funeral but he himself was not up to it. Until now I have thought he was going to go on and on but I did also say that when he gave up being on telly we should pay more attention to him.

     

     

    Are you sure she didn't just go herself. You'd assume if Corbbet and Brucie were such great friends, then Lady Forsyth would have known him well?

     

     

    What I was saying that by going alone was more significant for our purposes than if they have both stayed at home. I think everyone assumed she was 'representing' Bruce irrelevant of her own relationship with Ronnie and his widow,

    I finally got around to looking him up. He is kinda adorable.

    I was shopping in MK just before Christmas and Mr Dyer was in W H Smiths signing copies of his erudite colouring book. However outside the shop you could not move for over excitable middle aged women and their daughters. I am sure it was easier on 'writers' before the age of selfies, they used to have to just sign the frontispiece now they have to stand up, hug their fans and pretend they are having fun.

    I watched this show on morning TV for a while but got tired of it as it seemed very repetitious. Three of the main cast are gone now - one of the twins committed suicide almost exactly a year ago and the father died ten years back. I was really surprised when I found out he played the monster in Young Frankenstein!

     

    However Raymond himself is alive and well, currently appearing in Vinyl.

    Peter boyle was also in the x files as well very good their.

     

     

    Just walk away, don't even start. I know, I know but it will just be falling on deaf ears. Pretend you didn't see it.

    Listening at the moment to R4 to 'more or less' and they are doing bits on 'the curse of the Olympics ' which was mentioned in another thread, and....the life expectancy of Pope Francis :)

     

     

    They studied 62 popes and given his age when elected , come up with it being at 86 where his life chances hit 50/50. Ie seven more years.

     

    Also, an Argentinian male of 79 can expect to live until.....a bawhair short of 86.

     

    On Friday they also did a bit on whether more celebs are dying in 2016. Can catch it on I-Player.

     

    The answer is yes because of the boom in television and pop music in the fifties. (Bigger pool to draw from)

    Shimon peres is overrated. He supported apartheid south Africa and helped in several mascarars in the 40s but was given a Nobel Peace prize and let's not forget mother Theresa who didn't do anything to save most of her victims but when it was her time she had the best medical care more than any or her victims. Two shocking omissions for the price of one.

    Erm, how can any president of Israel be "overrated"?

    They're usually portrayed as the scum of the earth by the remedia for depriving Palestinians of land on which to carry out their oh so charming medieval religion.

    I was thinking of the discussions about various deadpools and I came up with an idea for a Scavenger Hunt Bingo Deadpool.

     

    The organiser would select five categories and each player would then pick 5 names in each category. There would be three ways to win

     

    1. All five names in one category

    2. One name in each individual category

    3. Three unique hits across all 25 names.

     

    The prize for the winner would be to take over the next game and select their own categories (and run the next leg of the game).

     

    This would one of those things that could be over in a flash like the Deathrace or could drag on for months but would be self renewing.

     

    If this is something that people would do then I will post the first five categories for a start date of 01 June.

     

    Do ask any questions.

    Why is there a lack of information about former UDM leader Roy Lynk?

     

    He does not have his own wiki page and I still cannot find a birthdate for him but the role he played in the Miner's strike is so important I imagine he would certainly obit.

     

    Also should Arthur Scargill be in consideration for next year?

     

    I did a bit of digging and found an article from 2004 which described Roy as 71 so we are looking at 1933 or 1932. He was older than I thought. I also believed Arthur was older than him. Oh well

    You haven't missed much. But if you want to see an episode, they have them on YouTube

     

     

    Wash your mouth out Phantom. Blakes 7 was fantastic. OK the sets and effects were shaky but they concentrated on unfashionable things like character, plot and casting damn good actors.

     

    Gareth also provided the voice for the Wisdom Tree on the BBC kids TV series Raven.

     

     

    Plot was good, sets and special effects were terrible and the acting was ermmm could be much better.

    When I was 6 when I first watched it, I thought it was great. I watched the first 3 episodes again last night and I found it entertaining but nowhere near as captivating as I did years ago.

     

     

    When it was good it was brilliant. Best episodes are probably Duel (Series1), Gambit (Series 2), Sarcophagus, Rumours of Death (Series 3) & Sand, Orbit (Series 4) and of course the legendary last episode Blake.

     

    It is of its time and hasn't worn well but when the choice was limited this stood out.

     

    I think we are going to be losing other members of the cast with regularity now except for Josette Simon who somehow still manages to look fantastic.

    The electorate need to remember the day to give David Cameron an electoral kicking is 5th May not 23rd June

    I've never understood why people advocate punishing the party running the Westminster government by voting against that party in the local government elections.

     

    If my local council is doing what I consider to be a great job, why would I vote them out because their colleagues at Westminster are arseholes?

     

    Surely the time to kick the Westminster government up the arse is at the next general election.

     

    He was talking about not voting to get out of the EU so he wouldn't lose his talentless, cushy, sweet-arse, golden cherry plum instant-diabetes-causing fucking silk-panties-wearing Rococo cupcake of a job.

    David Cameron got forced into a corner on the EU vote. It was only included in the manifesto to keep the Tory heartlands out of the grip of UKIP he wasn't expecting to win and have to deliver his renegotiation. However his incompetence is not what is on the ballot on 23rd June it is all of our futures. On 5th May we have council votes, PCC elections and the London Mayoral race all of these are party political issues which it is fair to stick two fingers up to Cameron. On 23rd June everyone needs to have clear heads and hearts.
