The Fringes Of Fame/family Of The Famous

The mother of Good Morning America anchor, Robin Roberts, who has been mentioned as a possibility on here herself for her own health issues, has died. -
Brian Gerber, who worked with Leo DiCaprio to produce 'The 11th Hour', has been found dead in his car.

His cancer is back and it's "very serious" this time around

Reading this, it seems a little more like blind optimism than actual concrete recovery. Perhaps this little foray to Cyprus is a sort of dying retreat. He's still going on my list for next year.

Curses. I saw this thread lit up (not exactly popular) along with the 9th Death thread in the main forum. I though for sure he had carked it! You got my morbid hopes up, damn you.

Gallows are armed and ready. According to this article, if Gaddafi is found guilty, he will face execution by hanging. Personally, I don't think this man is going to be exonerated by the same men who sodomised his father with a knife and then killed him. But, I could be wrong. Let's hope for a speedy trial before the clock strikes 2013.

Posted more than 24 hours ago, in Dom Mintoff's own thread. But thanks anyway...

African Leaders - Despots and Democratic

Should definitely be on the 2013 list should he hold out till then I don't think he's DeathList material, but I would put him on a DDP team. He's maybe not as famous (or infamous) as, say, Mugabe, but his passing would be of major significance in Africa and would generate a lot of press coverage internationally True, but his health is too-rumor based for a spot in my opinion. Like Penny Marshall? Dead -
And... They've found him. Dead of course. 180 meters below sea level. http://president.gov.ph/news/robredos-body-found/

Yeah, what a spoilsport! Not according to his family... Guess we'll all know in about six weeks time.

Willie Nelson cancels an event in Colorado. The host of the fundraiser claims that he was taken to hospital for breathing troubles afterward. He'll be 80 next April.

Althought, it was quite a blockbuster. Guess you could say he fell from the top...

Might you be discussing this...? EDIT: Oops, guess I was too late on that...

Wanted to get a chance to read 'Make Room! Make Room!' before he died, and I almost put him on my Shadow List for this year. Loss in more than one way... Boo.

"Anti-semite" Helen Thomas will be 93 next August. Someone to watch... Maybe.

Founder of Unification Church, Rev. Sun Myung Moon, 93, is being treated for pneumonia in South Korea. His family is at his side and he's pretty much on deathwatch.

African Leaders - Despots and Democratic

Wow, there's only a month between those two photos... Seems he's going down the tubes fast. Quite. As dubious as I am about the journalistic standards of the Ethiopian press, there's something definitely wrong with him and he's had a few health problems in the past. Coincidentally, the average life expectancy of Ethiopia is 58 so he's 90 in Ethiopia terms. Anxieties are rising in Ethiopia now, as the usually omnipresent Prime Minister has not been seen for some time... I can't see him making it to 2013. -
Tamara Grigsby anyone?

Was a bigot in his own home, and ate his chicken sandwich and waffle fries there. Thought I'd maybe get to see a picture of him ailing, but alas, no. This must mean he's far too sick to leave home though, which is good all around.

1. Dora Bryan??? 2. Rep. Dave Camp of the US, who also serves as chairman of the important House Ways and Means Committee has a 'highly treatable form' of non-Hodgkin's. Someone to watch, nonetheless. 3. Singer/Songwriter Ron Hynes has throat cancer and will be undergoing rigorous treatment. Has a positive outlook, but who knows?!
