I know this article is a little old, but apparently a Wikileaks cable written in 2008, said that diplomats gave Mugabe only three years to live. It has been four years, and another cable said the Supreme Leader of Iran had terminal cancer too (and he's still kicking)... But, it could be something yet.

The BBC says he will serve it in the UK, because the government that was in power when he was arrested wanted this way or something. Although I have no exact link, I just heard it this morning.
