In the US he was signed to Motown's rock subsidiary label, Rare Earth, and which also had the US rights to some UK acts such as Pretty Things. Due to delays in getting that imprint set up in the UK, his releases here initially appeared on Tamla Motown until these trademark issues could be sorted.

Thought I'd heard it before - the article is from 2008!

Thinking about this a bit more, he's only been absent from the show since sometime in January, and although there's five episodes a week most weeks, they most likely film around that number of episodes a day. He may have only missed a couple of weeks of filming, so it could be nothing more than a bad cold.

There is a spoken word Grammy category which any of the living actors could easily win.

Dave Rainford from Eggheads - has been absent from the current series due to 'illness', but he still appears in the show's opening credits.

Oddly the music round of tonight's edition of University Challenge featured four tracks that Wrecking Crew bassist Carole Kaye played on. Blaine probably played on most of those too.

Missed him out of my DDP team this year. Never mind...

This year's UCI Track World Championships were held just over a week ago, and Kelly Caitlin didn't take part due to suffering concussion. She was part of three previous Team Pursuit winning teams.

It's the mode of operation of these accounts - amongst the occasional posts supporting extremist political views there are many more random news and gossip stories to make the account look genuine, as it's by these stories that these bots tend to pick up followers in the first place.

Boris Johnson doesn't look at all well in recent footage. Nothing trivial, I hope!

Most likely due to Pat Smear of the Foo Fighters having also been in The Germs.

The FA Cup 3rd round replay on BBC1 will be still in the first half of extra time by then. Not going well for her, is it?

That article only covers a small number of the significant sessions she made. Clydie King, usually together Venetta Fields and Sherlie Matthews, were the go-to backing for many Los Angeles recording sessions for the majority of the 1970s. They were not always credited, or simply credited as The Blackberries. Other acts she definitely worked with include Captain Beefheart (on 'Clear Spot'), Tim Buckley (on 'Greetings From LA'), Gene Clark (on 'No Other'), and possibly Stevie Wonder (on 'Music Of Of Mind' - uncredited). There's also some other less worthy acts she backed up - she's on Leo Sayer's 'Endless Flight' (available from a charity shop near you) and possibly also a James Last album (he recorded 'Best Kept Secret' in LA with the usual LA session crew, and Venetta Fields is pictured on the back cover).

Oddly Warner Brothers do own the rights and back catalogue of the old His Master's Voice record label, and even pressed up some classical CDs on that label recently to be sold exclusively through HMV stores.
