Bobby Charlton couldn't attend his brother's funeral today due to an unspecified illness.

I've not seen a reliable obit for Ron Graham yet. Graham was most famous for coming up with Graham's Number, the largest number to be used in a serious mathematical proof, at least at the time. The number is huge - there's not enough universe available to write the number down, or the number of digits in that number, or the number of digits in that number, or the number of digits in that number, and so on for more times than the number of atoms in the universe.

Not medieval, but James II was dissected when he died in exile in France in 1701. Bits of him ended up in four different places, but most were lost during the French Revolution.
-
Even more scathing, given that Boris Johnson used to edit The Spectator for several years - he even carried on doing so when he first became an MP.

I've a music industry contact in LA who should be able to confirm in an hour or two, once they wake up over there.

They're just showing a montage of patriotic songs at the moment, nothing more. News usually goes out at 5pm local time, which is just over an hour away.

Korea Central TV, North Korea's only station, is oddly on air at the moment. The station is usually off air on Saturdays, which makes it strange. They're showing a pre-recorded propaganda puff piece at the moment. Something is obviously up - a coup perhaps?

Ronan O'Rahilly, founder of Radio Caroline, has died aged 79 according to the station's Twitter account.

I'm not happy either - my DDP joker is someone who had a crash at the TT last year!

Steve Weber of the Holy Modal Rounders died back in February, aged 76.

I acquired 17 jazz CDs yesterday - McCoy Tyner plays on at least six of those - he could be on a few other under a pseudonym.

That’s me. I noticed he was missing episodes, yet was still appearing in the show’s titles. His Twitter account revealed that he was ‘ill’ but was hoping to return later. That never happened, and his illness may be why the show is currently off air.

Mick Avory of the Kinks was one of the Tuxedos, but I'm not sure if he played on the single. Of course it's possible that they used session musicians for the recording anyway.

I may be able to help regarding some of the minor acts.

Roy Norris joins him, according to Wikipedia.

He was an answer to a picture question on Pointless a few days ago - identify the sports star by their clothing/equipment. It was surprising how high he scored.

Also written by Giorgio Moroder.

According to reviews of yesterday's performance at the same venue, she appeared to be in pain.

She's cancelled tonight's performance in Lisbon at very short notice - no reason given. Health issues, perhaps?

I’m currently in a very grotty pub. My DDP joker is also here - looks fine, but he does race motorcycles on public roads.

P-orridge did gain some notoriety in some of the Sunday tabloids in the mid-1980s due to some allegations of Satanic child abuse. Nothing ever came from it - I presume (s)he'd just pissed off some over sensitive god-botherers.

Will dig out the first two Kaleidoscope albums tonight. The first of the original line-up to go.
