Most teams thought Chuck Berry would B. Goode for another year, which goes to show you never can tell. His death wreaks havoc with the scoreboard, leaving us with a new pair of joint leaders. Same goes with John Vennari, his doctors didn't expect him to see his birthday, which was on February 24th, and the bastard's still breathing today. The report on Akhand's health seemed a bit vague to me, the headline said he was in a critical condition, but upon reading the article, it says that he's in a 'very bad condition' and the doctors had 'lost hope of recovery'. That could just mean that his treatment has stopped working and there's nothing they can do, in which case he may well see April. At least, that's what I hope is the case...

It's come to my attention that a certain Creep has not perused these forums for nearly 2 weeks - and I'm not referring to Morbidkid. As much of a nuisance he can be, I do hope he's OK.

If you folks must know how I feel about my current survivors... Tony Booth/Glen Campbell - As everyone has already said, surely this is their year.- 75% for both. Paul Van-Zandvliet - Brain surgery has done bugger all - riddled with cancer - 100% Errol Christie - Will probably go in the upcoming months, though something's nagging me about him still being alive - 80% Leah Bracknell - Looked ghastly on Loose Women, but her treatment's still working - 75% Gord Downie - His band mates recently accepted an award without him and they were clearly distressed, I think he's taken a turn for the worse - 95% Alberto Fujimori - Picked him for entertainment reasons more than anything, but with a host of health problems he's still a solid pick - 55% Mao Kobayashi - Rubbish choice of a joker, but I still think she'll die late in the year around the time of BBC's 100 Women 2017 - 70% Smith Hart - Facebook has gone silent and he hasn't even paid tribute to Dennis Stamp, I think he's a goner - 85% Valery Spiridonov - Not quite so confident in the operation going a-head, but he could always die naturally - 50% King Michael of Romania - Most likely going to die this year, haven't a clue as to when - 90% Clive James - Looked fecking gross in that interview from late 2016, but he's still active as a drama queen writer - 40%

I'd be very surprised if Thomas Starzl didn't make it. I'd suspect Hodgkin, Colón and Sellar would too, alongside possibly Bill Paxton. But I'm not the producer of the show.

Thomas Starzl, the physician who performed the first liver transplant and is regarded as "the father of modern transplantation", has reportedly stopped liv(er)ing at the age of 90. https://twitter.com/RenewalNews/status/838276801348661248 Edit: Still no news sources reporting it, I'm beginning to think I've fell for another hoax. Who the feck hoaxes about Dr. Thomas Starzl? Edit Edit: Never mind, it's true. Here's an obit: http://triblive.com/news/12024898-74/starzl-transplant-patients

I'm seeing reports of his death all over Twitter too, though most people are linking to the HispanTV article as proof. Yeah, the article I linked has just changed its headline to explain that they are just rumours. Perhaps these posts should be moved to his own thread. Edit: Upon further reading, the rumours seem to be almost certainly untrue. Apparently there's some Moroccan site which reports his death every time he falls ill, thus causing, as the article I'm currently reading puts it, "social networks to swell like a big hematoma".
