A new poem of his has been published in The New Yorker, although the first stanza suggests it was written in the Summer. In it, he reflects on mortality and how long he might have left. It's very touching, but it seems to signal that he might not have long left.

Well, it might be an overly complex solution, but I'll put it out there anyway for consideration. My intention was to name the 51st most popular pick, separate from the list of the top 50, then allow each player to pick a sub. The sub could be anyone from the top 50 or the 51st most popular pick, but the 51st name can not be included in the original team of 25. The sub, if it were to come into play, would automatically take the 25th position on the team, although it would be allowed for the player to change their position before the deadline closes. I don't know if I've explained that very well, or if that sounds like a sensible solution, but that was my idea. I'm sure better solutions could be thought of.
