Tom Owen has died at 73: https://uk.sports.yahoo.com/news/last-summer-wine-star-tom-155601520.html Also in The Bill, and such, crossposts galore. Edit: I wonder how this news made it first on that site, article written by "PA reporters".. I see, some kind of AP like service, just with the letters switched.

Though his reasoning is that the country is too small, it's not about human rights, it being a desert country, or not having a football history. I assume his problem is somewhat financial, not enough ticket sales, sponsoring, or something like that.

I think he's becoming eligible for deadpools.

Subtitles, that's creative, I like it! The rules also require certain url-s and such, though. Still, I wonder if there is still a loophole somewhere.
-
Well, the rules say that it has to be in "written English". He might still get something at the year-end round-up.

I just added your 2nd recent golfer fatality to the scoreboard. I had to find a 3rd yahoo article after two previous ones didnt allow for the uk.news.yahoo URL. So yeah, Dow Fürstenberg (?) is in, just barely, but he's in. Peter Butler though is likely lost. Edit: Lol, I called him Fürstenberg, but his name is Finsterwald. There are two towns surrounding Berlin called Finsterwalde and Fürstenberg. Guess I chose the wrong one. Ah, also, while I update the DDP scoreboard via database, the Theme Team standings need to be updated manually on the website by Death Impends. She usually does it once every month or so.

One of the more obscure QOs: Activist Ela Bhatt gets a uk.news.yahoo obit via Reuters via New York Times: https://uk.news.yahoo.com/now/press-digest-york-times-business-053751300.html (Maybe reuters itself would offer something, and I still think that she'll eventually get something else)

I was trying to make a joke that this game takes an especially long time, so that even my relatively underperforming team now has winning chances. Looking at my names though, William Daniels ("KITT") seemed to be in good health a while ago. Pete Rose now has an active sports betting side business. EmamAli Habibi looked okay last year at his 90th birthday. And Saul Friedländer just celebrated his 90th birthday, not publicly, but there was also no mention of especially bad health. I think I'm down to two lottery tickets, Greta Andersen and Salvatore Gionta.

Ah indeed. I have a list on my phone for open QOs and saw Peter Butler yesterday there, and wondered what this was about. Have already forgotten about him...and it seems I'm not alone.

DDP pick for the right livelihood theme team. My theory is that every winner of that award gets a QO. Let's see...

Health-related tweet by him: https://mobile.twitter.com/THEJamesWhale/status/1587524499137855489 He seems to follow my former B-Team pick John Dabell. I dont really think that Dabell is going to get anywhere near an obit.
