Just a clarification on rule 4 - am I allowed to pick the cancer kids on death row or not? -- joke --, let me pick Steve "Mongo" McMichael

You guys are having a bit of a clusterfuck over there? I think Rishi Sunak cant decide whether he wants to be a reasonable BoJo alternative or a Trump style "the more I piss them off, the more you like me" kind of conservative. Truss seems like the latter to me and so she'll ride on that ticket to the end. Sunak will sink. Mordaunt vs. Truss... I dont know, my money is on the latter.

Barbara Thompson is in. I will be away over the weekend so updates will have to wait.

The last post was in May, a couple of weeks after a series of fairly regular posts in March and before.

No not dead, any updates or reactions from him around his birthday a couple of days ago? He doesn't post on Instagram anymore, nothing. Seems ominous.

British-born conductor Bramwell Tovey has died: https://eu.providencejournal.com/story/news/local/2022/07/13/rhode-island-philharmonic-orchestra-conductor-bramwell-tovey-artistic-director-dead-ripo-cancer/10050317002/ Frequent pick in deadpools after his somewhat public cancer fight with sarcoma. Might have been on quite a few 2023 lists already. Edit: Actually a miss for the DDP, strange. Maybe I'm confusing it with other pools (Death By Numbers?) His cancer was not that bad statistically, but a couple of months ago, there were bad news, or so I recall. -
Aw, thanks. Sorry, I missed that.

Just going through the list... Bill is still tweeting occasionally. The most recent picture I can see is from May. He looks awfully puffy in there: https://mobile.twitter.com/wwfcofficial/status/1527987913866231810

Already three weeks old, but he was interviewed by Anderson Cooper for 60 Minutes: https://www.cbsnews.com/news/tony-bennett-lady-gaga-alzheimers-disease-60-minutes-2022-06-26/ He has good and bad times, still more good than bad though. It could be much worse at his age.

Jericho gives an update about that incident above. Pulmonary embolism (blood clots in the lung). The clot moved up his throat, getting close to "stroke territory". https://metro.co.uk/2022/07/11/aew-chris-jericho-was-hospitalised-with-pulmonary-embolism-on-uk-trip-16981173/ Also, pessimistic news on the health of Virgil, who is declining because of cancer, dementia, and now also two strokes: https://wrestlingnews.co/wwe-news/former-wwe-star-virgil-barely-able-to-use-his-arms-due-to-multiple-strokes-health-declining-from-cancer-and-dementia However, cancer and dementia are at an early stage. Still, sounds a little Leon Spinks-y.

Yeah, I always liked the pool. It forces you to make it work when it comes to certain letters, and the timing is nice, especially if the Poker Pool is gone.

Yeah, I dont know what to think of it either. If BoJo hadnt retreated it might have been useful. But the party decided to agree with his delayed resignation plan. They didnt put, say, Raab into the caretaker role, so they wont do so now. Is it at least politically useful posturing? I'm not entirely convinced of it either.

Heh, I wouldnt mind a shared win either, but yes, sudden death is probably fairer than the coin toss. I do think though, that my joker is a worse than Joey's. Apparently, Mike Davis' wife said that there wasn't any "immediate" danger, so he might just not be somebody for this month. Still, Joey's joker might decide not to go for the dignitas date after all, and then we're left with our differentials. They're kind of a bad bunch, I guess. Mine are okay, but might all just slip into the next month/s. Joey's differentials are not the best (IMHO) except for Don West, who might decide the game, and that's after all, all that's needed.

What do YOU do to not die/age as slowly as possible?

Recently, I've been getting surprised stares when I told that I'm 39 years old, as I apparently look a couple of years younger. I did lots of sports in my mid-30s, and have never been overweight, can count on two hands the number of cigarettes I have smoked. However, I'm also a terrible nerd who used to spend days in front of the screen in my 20s. I am addicted to sugar in all forms and I do love meat. I wonder which side of the scale will decide my fate. I wonder if those longevity tricks do anything. Would Kane Tanaka have lived longer without Coca Cola? There's probably some statistical effect which basically amounts to "Don't do stupid stuff and you'll be fine". -
New photo of Steve McMichael has surfaced. https://wrestlingnews.co/wwe-news/friend-of-steve-mcmichael-shares-heartbreaking-photo-of-the-nfl-legend-ex-wcw-star More interestingly, they want to make accomodations for him to allow him to travel to Nashville to see Ric Flair's final fight.

Trena peed, and Waynesha, too. I am, once again, reminded of the lobby lady of the New York Madame Tussaud's whose name was the word "charisma", spelt in a very mutated way, a q at the beginning, for example.

Never got around to watch his "A boy and his dog". It's a big inspiration for Mad Max 2 and the Fallout games.
