Kim Jong-Un himself carries the coffin, and notably does not wear a mask: https://www.theguardian.com/world/2022/may/23/kim-jong-un-buries-mentor-amid-north-korea-covid-crisis

Easy. Chinese never die, Russians always die quickly.

Seems like disqualified DDP pick Robyn Free, contestant on "Beat The Chasers" died last month, without QO, but there's something local: https://www.walesonline.co.uk/news/wales-news/woman-who-won-40k-beat-23914720 https://funeral-notices.co.uk/notice/FREE/5034489 Possibly not the only name where the committee actually did the players a favour by disqualifying them, as there was also "Williams Sisters physiotherapist" Esther Lee, who was covered in the press last week - still alive - and her cancer is actually slightly shrinking and she's doing much better than a couple of months ago: https://www.si.com/olympics/2022/05/17/esther-lee-pancreatic-cancer-physical-therapist-daily-cover

So they just had this list and shot it out. They aren't really curating it. Their bureaucracy must not be up to standards either.

Heh, I posted it because I think it's either going to be over very soon, or it turns into an endless Terri Schiavo case with a billion Indians involved in British medical law.

Slade's Don Powell had surgery for bowel surgery: https://www.expressandstar.com/entertainment/music/2022/05/21/slade-legend-don-powell-recovering-from-bowel-cancer-operation/ He's been mentioned on the forum before because of a stroke.

I like that all the articles are now mentioning that it's happening "again". The media also have become tired of this.
-
He's still so interested in the world. I think he wants to see how the story ends.

Oh, and second unique hit for Rover, who probably is now statistically closest to victory, with so many hits and possibilities.

Seems like Cup pick Balwinder Safri is basically brain dead and only kept alive by dialysis machines which are about to be turned off. The family pleads for more time and it's making the BBC because the singer is from Birmingham: https://www.bbc.com/news/uk-england-birmingham-61513386

Logan Long's life cut short, at only 34: https://www.thesun.co.uk/news/18631371/logan-long-dead-porn-star/ Seems a relatively minor name though.

Oh wow, huuuuuuge. The Blade Runner soundtrack is probably my favourite movie soundtrack.

Edit: Sorry Edit: No, sorry, false alarm (I think). Looking at foreign language pages at work - not recommended.

So yeah, as I posted a few days ago, Abdul Rahman Abu Zahra left intensive care for a second time: https://see.news/abdel-rahman-abou-zahra-discharged-from-hospital/ 2 days later, yesterday, he returned to intensive care: https://www.tellerreport.com/life/2022-05-17-the-deterioration-of-the-health-of-the-artist-abdel-rahman-abu-zahra.rJbdFkQbw5.html To quote, "This is the third time that Abu Zahra has returned to intensive care, after he left the hospital the day before yesterday, and returned to his home again after his condition witnessed a slight improvement, but it seems that Abu Zahra's health condition is somewhat unstable."

Chethana Ray, Indian TV star, dies at only 21 after fat reduction surgery. Metro can't resist: https://metro.co.uk/2022/05/17/indian-tv-star-chethana-raj-dies-aged-21-after-fat-removal-surgery-16661625/ After surgery, there were complications with fluid in the lungs, and then cardiac arrest.

Actually, I was wrong, Cody Fuller was 39 when he died (Deborah James is 40). Weird, I thought he was in his mid-40s.... Edit: But something against me: my Rabbi Baruch Shmuel Deutsch is apparently out of intensive care and now in a regular ward.

Czech actor Josef Abrhám has died at 82: https://www.novinky.cz/kultura/clanek/zemrel-josef-abrham-40397243 He was married to "Cinderella" Libuse Safrankova who died last year. Possibly, a few people picked up bad health news back then, because he is a pick in the Death By Numbers pool at least. -
David West, the baseball player, was a hit for me: https://www.inquirer.com/news/phillies-david-west-dies-57-brain-cancer-20220514.html

Final podcast update: https://metro.co.uk/2022/05/10/deborah-james-reveals-she-could-have-weeks-to-live-in-final-podcast-episode-16621133/ Still upbeat and "composed", but possibly only weeks left to live, at most.

Seyyed Fateminia, picked last month, now dead, too: https://en.mehrnews.com/news/186826/Ayatollah-Fateminia-passes-away-at-76 He was my first substitution, if I recall correctly. Close, but still a miss.
