If 2021 is anything to go by, probably.

Your win was a victory for the "deeper, not wider research". My win before, and Death Impends the year before was a win achieved through unique hits. I wouldn't call any method preferable. In the end, if you get 20 hits, you win. And you had, with 2 hits difference, just such a rock solid team, in a year where supposedly safe picks (Tom Parker/Smith/James Whale) failed. That's a great quality.

Well done Baby Blue! Tricky pool this one.
-
Congratulations Salmon Mousse! A rock solid entry.

I think it's going to take some time, this time. We might have an increase in players, plus the late Betty White death, and weekends that are placed a little bad this year. I guess it could take until Jan 15th-20th for the first version.
-
The system is now set up, and I hope there's no more premature death. 44 players will be participating. This is a record number, by far, and this will be quite the game. My personal database now adds 450 new names from all kinds of fields. You've been extremely creative. I can't make out an immediate favourite. It's a ton of ifs and whens. My team and the masterlist will be revealed in about an hour. I wonder if I can actually fit that whole list into one post...
-
Well, I was just thinking while under the shower that maybe I am actually quite okay with the list. Noam Chomsky, Nigel Starmer-Smith, also Jean-Luc Godard....not that bad. I think I am just missing 1-2 names more out of left field, whatever they are. But I think 40-45 names on the list are really good.
-
I know, I know, complaining is easy... but the list is a little "narrow" for me. It could use a wider perspective beyond US soap actors and UK politicians, broadly speaking. However, I think the list will do slightly better than last time.

The annual gc/gr confusion falls on Ted Kaczynski this time :). I picked him, not Gooseberry Crumble. Or maybe we picked him both?
-
Well done. Officially, he isn't ill, but everyone eventually runs out of juice, and he'll do rather soon
-
Nice one, I approve.
-
Yeah, a choice that in the end, is met with approval.
-
Risky pick, but in pure terms of probability, better than, say, Dick Van Dyke.
-
A year or two too soon.
-
He's strangely popular in the deadpooling world. Quite a few teams in my Death By Numbers pool have him. I don't know why, but I might be missing something.
-
Thank you, committee.
-
Who posted that picture? You're responsible for this! But then, Nigel is on my DDP team as well.
-
Well-deserved entry. He will never admit his age.
-
He's going to live for a while longer.
-
He's evil, don't believe him and his supposed illnesses.
-
She got yahoo, which also counts.

^^ Yes, okay, after all, that's what subs are there for. Betty White will be replaced by the first sub. Edit: Oh I see. Well, Gina Lollobrigida was your first sub. I'm sorry, I have to go with her, not Barbara Walters.
